Bevan Update

Hey eveyone,
I don't know how many ppl heard this....but in the 2nd final Australia v England....Bevan got injured (tore a groin muscle).

This usually takes 2 - 3 wks to recover, which put him in doubt for the world cup.

Well of course the Aussie selectors relised that he is a gun, and decided to take him ova to the world cup anyway (b/c he should only miss the first and maybe second matches) which are against Pakistan and India.

So all the other teams have a reason to be in fear again....Bevo is coming!

C''mon Aussie C'mon!

It sucks that Bevo is likely to be out for a few games. He's so entertaining.

Dan 01-30-2003 02:03 AM

yeah......but I saw an interview with him the other day....and Bevo was saying that he may not even miss a game... and if he does it will only be 1 or 2, and that he'd do everything in his power to play!!

So hopefully he will be all good.

I must ask who is everyone's tip for the World Cup???

(and I don't mean who do you want to win....but who do u think will win, or has a good chance of winning)

I want Australia to win (of course)....but I think that New Zealand will put a good show in

hellmanfrommars 01-30-2003 02:09 AM

I think either Australia or South Africa will win it, but I agree that New Zealand are in good form and may cause an upset!

NZ killed India at NZ and they always give Australia trouble. I'll pick Australia, but as a dark horse I'll say New Zealand.

I have a feeling that India will cause a major upset at world cup and they will win if some luck is there.

The smart money's on Australia, but with home advantage, I'd say South Africa have a real chance.

If Australia remains in the tournament to the later stages, South Africa will NOT win the Cup. Someone else will have to beat Australia, but South Africa will not beat Australia in a one-on-one I guarantee it.

I have to agree with that!!

The one thing going against NZ, is the match that they are forfeiting in Zimbabwe......They are losing points plus copping a fine...but I have to get the feeling that they will be good enought to progress anyway.

So I still rate NZ a good chance
