Some Secrets Of The acoustic concert

This is from the bj.de messageboard...

Dear friends,
I will try to write about yesterday's Yokohama acoustic concert.

When I left the Arena, it started raining and it was cold outside.
I was witness to the 3 hours and 40 minutes all acoustic concert.
It was a very special experience to us, Japanese fans. Masa Ito started
the show. (I realized again that he is popular among Bon Jovi fans in
Japan LOL) He told that "this is a very special concert that is presented
to us by Bon jovi. You all are going to be witnesses of a history of Bon Jovi....."
The half moon stage set expanded by lots of lights. Pictures and films
were on the 4 screens that were placed on the back of the band. We could
see each band's member as close-up on each screen. It was a concert, but
not a normal concert. It should be called like an open recording. Some
songs were stopped halfway and replayed. Some songs were completed but
replayed by Jon's words " we're gonna do this again". I understood it was
because the tempo, Jon's vocal, the sound effect and the filming. Which I
actually appreciated. *giggle* The replayed songs turned perfect and
imprinted on my mind. Jon and Richie were having a cold, actually. Jon had
tea often. Yes, it was tea, not Sake, Jon said. LOL And Jon made us laugh
with blowing his nose often on the microphone. LOL Richie named the title
of the upcoming this acoustic album "Bon Jovi Naked" LOL.
Jon's vocal stood out among all the instruments. There is a remarkable
difference in the color on Jon's voice between in an acoustic live and in a
regular live. I felt I was seeing different colors on his voice. It let me
forget his cold. Richie's lead vocal was great as usual. He toasted to us
with his tea at the end of his I'll Be There For You. He toasted in
Japanese. He was so friendly and made us laugh a lot. I felt he made also
Jon relax.

Here, I am going to tell you some "secrets" on the following detailed set
list. It is going to be a bit different from the one you got from the
official.

Nooooo!!! LOL The show was over. With the band members, Jon said thank
you to us for last night and for what we've supported them for a long
time.... said good night and left the stage)

I think back the 3 hours and 40 minutes.... now and forever.

It sounds like the concert flowed along nicely. It seems a bit fake to me with all of the retakes; like they are acting rather than performing.

Thanks for posting! It's a shame Jon & Richie were sick on a night they were filming for a DVD.

Thanks for posting, that was just great! Oh, I wish I could've attended a concert like that... ;) Altho it does seem a bit fake, just like somebody said, that they are acting instead of putting up a live performance. But if Jon's voice wasn't ok, that's understandable.

hopefully though since they did retake the versions it means that the dvd will be more complete...

you never know also... maybe Jon having a cold made his voice a little more 'bluesy' if you know what i mean... gravelly i call it...

what a shame!!! artists use do re-do songs in the studio (own live is the best example for that- the only live thing is the crowd :-)) but stopping a song and replay it ON STAGE is really something strange to me- never heard that... they hopefully keep that a secret cause otherwise other artists will laugh their a**** off
but though they seemed to have made a cool dvd and album (<-- hopefully it will be a cd too)
