Love Me Back To Life??
hmmmm Am I the only one that thinks this song would be better than all about loving you as a single?? Its more uptempo for a start and is just begging for a long guitar solo on some crappy kids music show - give em a taste of real music baby.

You are not the only one  Love me Back to Life is just my fav of the Bounce album ..for me the most " BON JOVI" one .... A great song ...I'd love to hear it Live ..... :P

No Goose and youre right, but we can't influence anything ...
even Jon's voice is better in love me back to life ! |
They do always seem to pick the wrong songs to release... nowadays at least...
if the band released my guitar lies bleeding in these arms and promoted it that could have been their biggest hit i think - especially in the music climate at the time... there's always good and bad music, 60s-70s-80s-90s-00s but mid90s the markets and charts were much more liberal i think they should release undivided, or like you said love me back to life if anything - it's still not a great song, but it's one of the heavier ones. |

that song has one of the best guitar riffs BJ have done since KTF...
the bit going into "tonight i need you..." |

I also think it would be a great single! - I've loved it since the first time I heard it at the record co's "Bounce" listening party in London. I hope they do it live someday! |
I'm not a fan of the song, but even I think it would be a better single. All About Loving You is a nice song, but it's too close to the Bon Jovi formula ballad. It doesn't sound different. It's not exciting. LMBTL sounds like a musical trainwreck (it's dissonant), but at least it sounds different and unexpected.

i never bother about singles as long as i can see the band live...
but by the same token wouldn't you all love them to have released a song like neurotica that could really show the world that they can still rock... bare in mind the only things people know of the band that don't have the back catalogue etc are it's my life, say it isn't so (dance sort of mix for UK), all about lovin' you, thank you for loving me... and if we extend it back perhaps always for the older, but not "old 80s" fans... the public must (and do from when i have spoken to people) seem to think they are a very soft pop/rock band that sings about loving girls... without sounding rude the thing that made rock music in the 80s was that the bands were singing about the lifestyle and (livin' in sin) not wanting to love a woman but to do sometohing else! i hear some of you say, "it's different now, they have children and are married" and that i agree, but the same was true of these Days albums and they were the most sophisticates songs they have written and weren't about love so much, but more about LIFE... the band are still married and apparently happier than ever so why all of a sudden have they turned their backs on 1995 and started writing as if they want to show 13 year old girls a good time (I don't mean that in a paedophilic way - I'm just saying that some of the lyrics would translate perfectly into Britney Spears songs etc)... i'd like the band to be writing (or at least showing the media and public) songs about life, not love anymore... the distance at least is a song devoid of love in a way - though the chorus!!... all i'm trying to say is it would be great to show the people i'm always arguing with about BJ that they are a rock band |

I think love me back to life is the best on the album, and would make a great video. An up tempo love song could do very well in the charts (the callings "wherever you will go", Lifehouse's "hanging by a moment" were huge hits) and LMB2L is obviously better then those. I really wish they'd give it a chance...if not a single, at least play it live!

Could be great
Love Me Back to Life is perhaps the most single-worthy song on Bounce, next to The Distance. I feel it would be very appealing to modern audiences. Not only that, it's a great song in itself, with some of the best guitar playing on the album. I hope it or The Distance are the next single. Otherwise, I think Bounce has just about run its course on the radio.

there's also a very similar riff in the distance which rocks!!
prob the 2 best riffs on the album i think shame they couldn't have used them a little more as part of the song also reminds me a little of the riff to my guitar lies bleeding in these arms going into the guitar solo |
all about loving you???? are you kidding? this song is ridiculous!
of course love me back to life is much better! i can't even compare them! |
I really prefer Love Me Back to Life. All About Loving You is OK, but not worthy enough to be a single. I haven't really cared for a Bon Jovi ballad since This Ain't a Love Song, and that took a lot of getting used to. I'm sooooo glad to see I'll Be There For You on the set lists. Let's hope it stays on in the States too.
|
nice song but a bit similar to the distance, no?
|
I tihnk any song on Bounce would be much better than all about loving you. Its the song I like least on the album.
Love me back to life is a great song and is my second favourite song on Bouce. The Distance is my fav so I do hope that it is released next! |
I agree with you! It is one of my favorite songs on the Bounce album.
|
Yeah I love "Love me back to life" too, but there's something that has been bothering me... Have any of you heard Vanessa Carlton's Thousand Miles? 'Cause I think the bit in lmbtl "tonight I need you..." is just like a bit in Thousand miles. I'm not sure, but I have this recollection. I've only heard Carlton's TM on the radio about 3 or 4 times, so I'm not sure. Tell me what you think.
|
No I love this song too, it's more strong !
|
Love me back to life, would be way better as a single! It's a very good song and I love the part where Jon is almost sreaming, 'hurt me, heel me, some on make me feel it' Much better than All about Loving you!
|
Love me
Love me back to life is awesome. I love the passion Jon sings that song with. It's something I find lacking some of the other songs
