European tour 2003
Hi everybody....
Does anybody knows if our band has anything against spanish fans? I can't really understand why they aren't going to come on their Bounce tour (even on Crush tour)... Bye |
no, don't think that
same here in France, that's just we are unlucky :( |
Same in Agrentina, tehy came to brazil, but not here.
|
Well, they did the acoustic busk in Barcelona for free, so I don't think they hate us or something like that.During the acoustic preformance Jon said they WANTED to come here with the tour, so I guess it's not their problem, but the promoter's :(

If we want to look for alternatives to the worst possible scenario, that it really is the band members themselves and Jon in particular who doesn't want to play for example anywhere in Scandinavia or in Spain, Italy and France this year, we can always blame their record company and the touring industry in general as well as the overall downturn in the economy. For a band as big as Bon Jovi touring *is* very expensive. They've got to have two or three stage constructions travelling with them as well as one PA and one or two full sets of instruments plus god knows how many spare parts for the instruments & microphone systems, etc. Their tour crew is usually between 100-150 ppl and naturally they've got to pay full board & lodging for the entire crew (apart from local crew members, of course) plus catering at shows and some actual spending money for all of them... And we're not talking about some $20 a day but rather $150-300 a day, I think. Then come the band members and their personal staff, insurances, merchandise, trucking, etc. So it really is quite expensive, and because of that, if the band and/or their record company don't believe touring in certain areas would be profitable enough, they can easily leave such areas out of the tour schedule. |
A friend of mine who works in the business just said that one avarage concert costs 4,5 Mio Euros. Just to add to Anus post.

Then I don't understand why has Jon to say to us that they WANT to come here with the tour. They told that as if saying that they want to, but there were other people involved to make that happen. They gave us hope with no reason :( .
