Bounce Vs Crush (What's the difference?) Part 2
Hey there everyone,
Quite a while back I made a post called 'Bounce Vs Crush (what's the difference?), and in that post I said that they were very similar. Jon was saying that Bounce was one of the most complete Bon Jovi albums to date......I disagree. Anyway, the point of this post is that I made a bit of a prediction, (well, I didn't exactly predict anything but) I said that Everyday was like It's my life, Misunderstood was like Say it isn't so, and All about lovin' you was like Thank you for loving me. I meant this in many ways, especially the style of the songs, but what I have noticed is that Bon Jovi are releasing All about lovin' you as their next single. So I kinda predicted this, lol. So I am going to make a real prediction now and that is that Bon Jovi will release the single Bounce after All about lovin' you. But one last thing, Bounce Vs Crush......what's the difference? See ya soon |
Crush has better chorus, I think that is where the band failed this time.
|
The difference is that Crush slows down after those singles, where as Bounce has some good hard rock to back it up.
Yes the released songs are similar........however Crush is far more commercial than Bounce. Crush is a happy rock record....and Bounce is a hard rock record. Bounce is great!! Its one of my fav albums...... Crush just doesn't have rock songs like The Distance, Undivided, hook me up etc |
Wow, where do I begin... there are so many differences:
1. Crush has one monster hit single (IML). Bounce has none. 2. Bounce rockers are heavier than Crush rockers. 3. Bounce used some of Creed's riffs, Crush doesn't. 4. Crush has one long, kickass guitar solo, Bounce has none. 5. Crush sells by the truckload, Bounce doesn't. 6. Crush is more commercial, Bounce is less commercial. 7. It took the band longer to write Crush than Bounce that's why I feel that the songs are generally better and catchier (although they are more pop than ever). Bounce could've been much better if they put more time going over the tracks in the studio. I think they might want to repeat the New Jersey trick for success, but it didn't work this time. 8. Bounce is 'more serious'. Crush is 'more fun'. 9. Bounce tend to be more overrated by die-hard fans, whereas Crush got a lot of flak from die-hard fans. And those are only the beginning :D |
Aloha !

+ crush has actually no song you can really listen to except mystery train- bounce has 10 songs you can listen to
+ i'm happy with the less they play from crush in vienna- it's the other way round with bounce + crush was bj's creative misery- bounce is the step back to good music + before luke ebbin began to produce everything was fine... (actually no differnce- i know...) |

Sorry Dan, but 4 songs don't make a hard rock record when there are 7 (boygroup-)ballads(some of them super-super-soft with super-superficial lyrics) against them. Listen to Little Steven's "Born again Savage" to see how a hard rock record should be. CRUSH vs. Bounce -most of CRUSH is pop, only 2 songs on Bounce are pop -CRUSH has less strings |

Besides it is a hard rock record!! All you have to do is listen to crush, then compare it to Bounce to see that |
