this! and I'm definitely enjoying myself :)

Im still really excited for the album ! Im having doubts that it will ever be released though .... I hate when people get on here and bag the shit out of Richie , but that's their opinion and they are entitled to it . Richie is sloppy live now i guess and Jons voice is embarrassingly bad , but i still love and respect them both for what they have accomplished over the years. They will always be the soundtrack to my life ;)

But but but but um....WHOSE SIDE ARE YOU ON?????

On a serious note, that's very true. They both have given us so much over the years and both now completely suck live. Even if it's for completely different reasons, it's almost poetic how both of them declined so dramatically pretty much at the same time.

Actually, as a person who's not a native speaker and not a long time fan, I feel fairly comfortable and enjoy the music. The fandom is not easy to please, this is what I've noticed, still I want to be a part of it as it comes along. I LOVE Richie and his solo stuff speaks to my heart, whatever it is, but truth to be told, I don't worship him. I know the guy has his weaknesses, I don't want to defend im to no end. He doesn't need it anyway, he's class in its own and whoever follows him, will do it anyway. I just want to say that I enjoy being a part of the fandom as I can always learn something new from you and I appreciate your opinions, having the freedom to express my own, too. No hard feelings, really. Thank you for your effort, I love the place:)

Honestly, it's fine. RD takes his stress out on this forum by preying on those he doesn't agree with. Don't take him seriously, and you'll be fine - most don't :)

SPOT ON remark...it truly is worth mentioning how 2 guys with great talent and chemistry lost the magic being on theor own..
jon wouldnt be able to sing great if richie came back but still the definition of a great band is a sum greater than its individuals parts

**PERSONAL OPINION**

I'm not altogether sure that it is for completely different reasons. Different manifestations of the same reason perhaps, and different coping skills, for sure; but I think the underlying reason is the same: they need each other - and they both know it.

Jon needs Richie to be at his best. Richie needs Jon to be at his best. Bon Jovi needs Jon and Richie to be at their best.

Yin. Yang. Dark. Light. Jon. Richie.

That's all.

Needing someone to be your best does not qualify as a reason to suck. Not in my book.

The real reasons are different:
Jon - never learned to maintain his instrument unlike a proper singer
Richie - never learned to manage his lifestyle unlike a proper celebrity.

So I guess one could say the reason is similar that it's a lack of discipline for both; but I again that's very different levels of discipline and I feel these are apples and oranges.

And that's exactly why I qualified my comments as a personal opinion. ;)
