No matter the ego richie must have realise by now that no record company is gonna invest real money to promote an album, give them air time or gurantee them promotion. richie has the money and the people to promote it himself, he promote aotl decently and now he ll have ori by his side for a wider demographic. Sitting on a finished album so long only dates the material making it inconsistent most of the times.
He should rehearse and put out on the internet sth new performed perfectly and people will listen

I so agree on this! Hopefully some Richie's insiders lurking here will pass it on him :D

thnx..richie is an older guy and probably hasnt fully comprehent how social media work to be gentle...their most popular video with ori is in a guitar store...
if richie had some a couple guys who knew their thing just play around with huge collection of guitars, electric, acoustics, amps and pedals, played a couple of tunes to showcase its case he could easily approach guitar heads outthere, i know richie wants to be perceived as a singer mainly but at this point as a solo artist richie isnt even considered a serious guitar player.
Some clips working with bob rock would also probably get viral.
Richie needs someone to direct him in a way and the guy has the talent to make it work. i d love to see them back with bj but i d also follow him solo, if he wants to be able to have a live following with his past work/brandname and money it would be easy.
very few musicians-instrumentalists out there have richies voice yet he looks burned

I'm wondering why he hasn't hired any pro running his official social accounts. His website is dead and his own personal tweets are random, usually sharing some stuff or bday wishes/condolences, etc. Hating the machine is one things and being lost in the big big world is another thing. It seems Jon has found some kind of balance over the years so he hasn't burnt out and Bon Jovi is still a band with relatively significant following. We can bitch about many things as much as we want and the sold out arenas prove us wrong again and again. The man still has it. So many folks are wondering why Richie can't be a star on his own but there are a few factors contributing to that. He's not pop, bluesy style isn't something you'll hear on the radio. He's always been a wingman, his tours were short and he is basically a team player. However, if he DOES enjoy what he is doing right now and isn't worried that much about his current status, who am I to judge? I guess you can get tired with being a worldwide sensation...

He did have pro's running his social media. After a mini breakdown when the Aftermath Tour got cancelled he tweeted some questionable things and soon after someone else was running it. That has since stopped it looks like. You could always tell when it was Richie and when it wasn't.

Even if it's run by a pro, it doesn't show :3 Not that I mind it, I follow the guy <3

The reason why Richie can't make it on his own in this time of his life is spelled Jon. Richie needs Jon so much more than Jon needs Richie. Not taking away anything from Richie, I love the guy, but it's so clear that he needs a leader. He's good at following , not taking the lead.

Eveline 06-10-2017 03:19 AM

Who needs whom more is actually your opinion:) Businesswise most probably yes but there was a reason he left Bon Jovi. Maybe this reason was spelled Jon as well. Such strong bonds sometimes involve real Italian arguments :3

Jon has stated over and over again that there was no argument. So, unless you have decided he's lying about that, then that theory doesn't hold water. But I know a lot of people have to justify what Richie does by finding a way to blame Jon. Just a few weeks ago some were insinuating that it was a diabolical plot by Jon that caused SITT to be a poor selling album.

Maybe Richie just got tired of the grind. Maybe he really did want to spend time at home. It still seems odd though that Phil was on standby long before Richie missed Circle tour dates. They knew it was coming; it was just a matter of when.

If the album is done, and he's proud of it, make it a digital release only. That way the need for a label is bypassed. True, he will have to fund the recording/mixing costs etc, but he's a wealthy man.

At least this way, his music see the light of day.

I don't want to insult anyone but Jon has been caught lying a few times. It's not that I'm sure he's lying in this case, too. It's probably just, since you're saying they saw it coming, about disagreements as to where they should go as well. I know life. I've had close friends and people I've shared rooms in dorms, treated like sisters/brothers and stuff. Disagreements do happen. Jon by saying there was no argument could refer to the few days prior to Richie's departure but what he forgot to mention or didn't really want us to know is that they actually had a series of disagreements earlier on. You can say something was off not a few days or weeks but years before.
