They started with IML or LOAP (one of the Tommy and Gina songs). I wanna say LOAP because I think they did IML later with Hook Hererra on harmonica. But I could have them backwards.
IBTFY was somewhere in the middle when Richie got out that big mandolin-type instrument that I can never remember the name of. (I think it's the one he played in the TLFR DVD and asked people to guess what it was).
It seemed like they were going to end with a terrific performance of WDOA; but then the guy who was managing the taping came out on the stage and said something to Richie; then they regrouped and did I Got You Babe, kinda like an encore.
At some point, Ori did her Heaven in this Hell, and the rest of the songs were either from the Rise EP or other new songs.
In no particular order:
Rise
Masterpiece
Truth
Take Me
Good Times
What Have We Done?
Making History
Magic
Together on the Outside
Forever
Walk With Me
I remember Ori saying something about the next EP dropping; but I can't remember what it was.
They gave us CDs of the Rise EP, which was a nice surprise.
The station didn't allow cameras or cell-phone recording because they said they would be filming the audience, too, and cell phone screens would interfere with the lighting; but a few people fudged a little. I've seen a very short clip of Wanted, but that's it so far. They did allow us to take pictures of the stage and stuff before the show; but I'm not savvy enough to post mine here.
Oh, and someone asked one of the station's crew when he thought the show would air and he said they didn't have an air date yet. I asked him if it would be a local /regional show or if it would be carried by all the PBS stations and he confirmed that it would be broadcast nationally.
Yes, Captain, Richie looked very healthy! He seemed happier than I've seen him look in a very long time, possibly because the audience was solidly behind them and knew more than just the Jovi songs. Everyone seemed to be totally involved from the git, even with the songs they had never heard; and you could see the excitement in his face.
I thoroughly enjoyed the show, despite some false starts because Richie was unhappy with some of the mixes coming from the sound engineer and, once again, they're working with a new band. He introduced them during Good Times; but I didn't catch all the names. Neil Swanson was playing guitar, in addition to Richie and Ori; Michael Bradford was on bass; and if I'm not mistaken, the drummer was Stefanie Eulinberg, a kick-ass drummer who was playing with Kid Rock the first time I saw him live eons ago. Hook Herrera guested on a few songs. I didn't recognize the guys on keys and percussion, though. Sorry.
