Well, I watched most of it. Passive-agressive, snarky, I remember being called a jerk once, too. Becky, you never fail! <3

So, you’re saying that comment was not passive aggressive and snarky? You’re getting called on exactly how you came across.

It was sort of sarcastic, yes, but not mean. If I didn't care about your opinions here, I wouldn't come back and check on the forum. I love Richie. I love Jon. I love the band. I am not detached from reality, though. I know where something's off and it pains me because I do love the band. I love them more than my life and I wish everything was just perfect and cool. But it isn't. I watched most of the performance and it broke my heart. For all the love I have for the man, I can't say I'm fine with that. But I've learnt a lot.

I agree with the first part. I wish Richie would drop the stand-up comedy and just be who he is.

Sometimes, like last night, he comes across as incredibly insecure; and it makes me sad. It would be nice if he could realize that he's enough, just as he is. He doesn't need to keep bringing up his successes or try to impress people. I understand that it's promotion and he's got to put himself out there; but I'd like to see him practice the art of understatement for a while, and let his accomplishment speak for itself. He's done a lot of good stuff over his career, both on his own and with the band. The people who matter recognize that. Let the others figure it out for themselves.

Without "feeding scripted lines to talking heads" he could still decide ahead of time how he wants to answer the questions he's asked, especially the awkward ones about BJ and the HoF, to communicate whatever it is that he wants to say. That way maybe he wouldn't think he had to make jokes or sound so defensive. Just chill-ax a little. Breathe. And let Ori answer the questions asked of her, without dragging attention back to himself with sideline antics or jumping in.

I can't say that I agree that the performances last night were among their best. They were much better in Chicago. At first, I thought it was perhaps because they had a full band that night; but the fundraisers in LA and SF were acoustic, too, and they seemed much more at ease during those shows as well.

Richie seemed particularly nervous last night, for some reason. Even his comments introducing "Take Me" sounded more over the top. I mean, in Chicago, he got the same point across but he sounded less aggressive. He just said that a lot of people got pissed off because he left and they wanted to know what happened and why. Then he said, "And I ain't tellin' that!" He added that he did need to be with his daughter; but, within the context, it was pretty clear that she wasn't the primary reason. Nor is anything else we've heard to date. And while he said emphatically that "Take Me" 'ain't no damn apology' he just implied the FU part by saying "What you see is what you get". Either way, though, it sounds to me like he's done with the criticism. People can take him or leave him.

Me, too. I'm looking forward to what else they have. Richie's vocals are sounding better and better and his guitar skill is getting closer to what it was before.

People aren't necessarily going to like everything they do, but I think if they give the music a chance and listen to RSO for who they are now, and not try to lock them into who they used to be, they'll be more inclined to like some of the new stuff. But if they continue to let disappointment or anger or even preconceptions based on the past lead them to expect the worst, that's probably all they're gonna get. As long as people continue to view RSO thru shit-colored glasses, all they're gonna see is shit. It's their loss. And that's their problem; not Richie's and Ori's.

I love Take Me, too. But if I never hear it sung as a duet again, it'll be too soon. :)

Ori's harmonies added nothing at all, as far as I'm concerned. In fact, I thought they essentially messed up a really good song. JMO.

Now I criticized the EP and still do, but that performance was at least very good: great vocals by both (Richie was especially on fire) and proper ORGANIC music. It just goes to show how 2017 production kills songs...2 acoustics, a piano and percussion show that RSO's songs are good. Some of the extended solos make a difference too, I really wish they would ditch the 2017 going on 80s' production and just release organic music ✌️

I will tell you a story... I live in an small city in Peru, and when Bon Jovi came to Peru in 2010 they did the concert in Lima (the capital) of course! so I had this e-mail friend since 2004 and the whole hotel where BJ stayed was reserved by the band so there weren't any room available, and this friend sent me an email and told me: Today is your day, lucky young lady! You got a room in the same hotel your favorite band going to stay!, I was so freaking happy that I told the name of the hotel to all the members of my Bon Jovi Peru community page at that time... I remember saying them Bon Jovi going to stay in this hotel, you can go there and wait for them, go go!!! I was so young (that year was my first year since I was called a CPA my profession so I had no money yet lol) and I was coming from my small city to a VERY expensive hotel in Lima to see them live for the first time ever!!! and being a diehard and musician since 1994 you can imagine how I was about it O_O ...so I finally met them and I was... NO WORDS couldn't explain the feelings... U_U (crying) I remember thinking at that time JBJ was an angel >_< jajajaj I didn't even care about taking pictures and I was told by security that I couldn't do it anyway >_< lol, but I got some pictures after; I got front row in the show, JBJ laughed with me in Wanted (my favorite song ever!!!) and lots of great moments in the concert!!!, also after the concert I gave JBJ a peruvian t-shirt; that night after the show I confirmed Richie had problems with alcohol, my first thought was: WHAT THE HELL I'm gonna tell to all the Richie fans members in my community page? 'cause I had a lot of Richie fans friends and they all were diehards, I mean REALLY diehards, all the members in my community were REALLY diehards, all were boys and of course I was the little girl who her idol was JBJ and started that page at my 19 years old, the girl who Hugh once said to her: "You know about Bon Jovi more than I, 'cause you're fan since 1994."; then I thought that tell to my friends what I knew that night about Richie having problems with alcohol would break their hearts... so I decided never tell them, and never did; then 2013 cames and everybody knew it, all my Richie fans friends disappeared of my page I lost completely contact with them until this day, I was told to close my page and I did; since that day I only write in backstage (of course my English sucks); then I came to this page and I found Rolo was one of the members of my really old page... Maybe I will disappear on December 5... or maybe not or maybe a bit!

...The only song that I like: Masterpiece wasn't played of course >_<, I don't like Take Me on studio, but this live performace was something! I think everyone agree the man knows how to play guitar and his voice is still high; I would like to hear this part of the song live Richie: "Perfection ain't real, here on planet earth".

I’ve been using amazon Prime at work to block out my coworkers. Today Aftermath popped up as a recommendation for me. So the point is if you have Prime, it’s free, if you don’t have it or have never heard it. Prime offers a lot of free music. I find it worth the money.
