Richie said on aftermath tour that he can't sing Ballad anymore. Even on the stranger tour he had to do it as a duet. He has fooled around on stage and played the acoustic intro before..

Hey may have been sober in 2012, but no one actually thinks Richie 2017 doesn't drink a drop. He doesn't try to hide it, but I think he has it under control, unlike back in 2014....

If you have gone to rehab for alcoholism and you are currently drinking, you do not have it “under control.” That is not how affliction works. Even a “functioning alcoholic” is an alcoholic and is living on a precipice of disaster.

Not everyone works the same Becky. People deal with things differently, I have seen so many different instances of how people deal with this, you can't just blanket it say and that it works like that all the time for everyone. In fact, when treating something like this that is one of the worst things you can do.

Richie's problems seemed to start from dealing with the pain of his father passing away and his marriage break up. You deal with that....what is making the drinking become a problem and how to deal with it, rather than the drinking itself, then you are winning the battle.

A lot of people that go into rehab can absolutely drink afterwards without going overboard, if they deal with the reasons why they were drinking so heavily in the first place. Whether it's the loss of someone, the break up of a relationship, or just the fact they don't want to (or are unable to) deal with something in their lives...

If you are just addicted to the drink that's different altogether...but that simply isn't the case for everyone.

I just realized you're from Brazil, so if you went to the 3 concerts Richie made there in 2016, you know that he didn't play Seven years gone in the concerts, but as you can hear he did in the soundchecks and several times -_- and in the last time he made a gorgeous outro!!!! I was going to cry... U_U; other thing that I liked A LOT was the impeccable acoustic solo! he did in Never say goodbye and of course many more things...

In regard to Ballad of youth and When a blind man cries like I said in my post before, there were songs played complete and others short, these 2 were short and funny! they were one next to the other! but yeahh he couldn't with the high notes and Ballad of youth was with the electric guitar straight to the solo and a little more after that, I was in shock O_O!!!. I don't like ask things to people in general but when it's Bon Jovi music, I'm always requesting a couple of things >_< lol like when I requested jungle noises and Spanish to JBJ this time in South America and be sure I'm not going to stop with my requests! -_-

Thinny, really? I’m just hoping he doesn’t wind up a casualty to his addictions. If you have an addictive personality and your partaking in what has driven you to your knees before, you are playing with fire. Richie doesn’t know what tomorrow will bring. What if another person he loves dies? What if he’s injured and starts mixing alcohol with pills? If you have that drive within you to behave in self destructing patterns, you have to stay away from your weapons of choice.

I’m would say the same of anyone who was a recovering addict. You want to pretend it’s all okay. I want him to still be alive 20 years from now.

I'm not pretending anything Becky. If you look at him now compared to 2014 he's a different person. He was barely functioning.

Yes, sure something could happen again to send him back into depression, But the same could be said for any of us...you can't live your life in fear of what the future may or may not hold. That's no life at all...

If he has been treated right and successfully, he will have the tools he needs to know and understand how to deal with that next time without drinking himself into oblivion.

I truly think you’re wrong and not seeing the general weakness of humankind (all of us). But you are probably not as jaded as I am so that’s a positive thing. I hope you don’t lose your outlook.
