By your viewpoint, Richie cannot drink in moderation, and if he is drinking now then he should be the same mess that he was in 2014. he is clearly drinking now, but he is clearly in a much better place than he was in 2014. How does that work if it's all or nothing like you say??

Anyways, let's draw a line under all this, agree to disagree, as this isn't the place for it, and get back to taking about the music.

Loved the live version of One Night more than the studio version. Richie's voice is sounding in really good shape, which is great to hear!

I was, however, disappointing to hear the the album next year will be the 2 full EPs, plus extra tracks, would rather it was just one or two tracks from each EP. But at least we will then get getting EP 3 and EP 4 (and then maybe another album made up of those with bonus tracks?)

I can't believe how anyone can state that Richie is in a good place right now. For pretty much every live clip I see of him lately I just see him becoming a bigger and bigger mess for every show. It has gone so far I honestly can say that I really don't know who that guy is anymore. And that's coming from someone who has literally had Richie as my God for pretty much my entire life. It breaks my heart to see what a mess he his these days.

Well, there is one thing we do all agree on. We don’t want him to be the next dead rock star. Those of us who want to see him give up his crutches want him to do so out of concern.

I'm really worried about Richie and it breaks my heart to see how he's killing himself slowly. Had this big fallout with a friend of mine a few days ago because they say this is what Richie is in person. Oh, if that's him being himself for real, than yes, I don't know the guy anymore. I'm really concerned about Jon, too. He looks really worn out. Hope he isn't sick and his depression is gone for good!

Richie seems excited and passionate with the new songs. I like it, only he looks ridiculous without guitar.

This thread is becoming rediculous! Lets focus on the music and not worry about whos drinking to much booze or taking to many drugs . Its rock n roll for gods sake !!!! I cant wait for the new EP . Love One night of Peace ;)

He's doesn't look worn out, he looks old. That's, you know...cos he is. Compare him to a lot of guys pushing into their 60s and he looks great....

How anyone can say the he's getting worse when you compare him to 2014 is beyond me....but yeah, moving on...

R&O are supposed to be on Feedback on Volume on SiriusXM on Wednesday at 8:00 AM. It’s a prerecorded interview from last week. Be aware, if any bigger news breaks, they bump the prerecorded stuff.

I took notes at work and emailed it to myself to post here.

Interview starts with Richie making stupid noises and joking abour Orianthi doing porn He sounds like an idiot.

Richie said when they met, it was immediate. “It was great.” He said he was known as Jon Bon Jovi’s side arm (and his tone was snarky). He said she was known as Michael Jackson’s side arm.

Richie said their songwriting is like a converstation. Culture affects it. Relationships and authenticity connect with humanity.

He keeps talking over Orianthi or making noises over her and Nik actually said, “Dude you’re talking” and Richie said he was Polish and Lori said she was. Nik said they both needed to get to hell out of there.

Ori says they are both very blues based. Richie constantly interrupts Ori. Ori said Richie listens to a lot of Soul. Richie really is sounding like an idiot. He actually said something intelligent about the Civil Rights era.

Nik said Corey Glover said to tell them hello. Nik said Ori laid down a solo that was insane. Richie said, “jerk me off slowly.”

Lori asked about RnRHOF. Richie said it means nothing in the politic world. He said he has not been keeping track. Richie said getting into Songwriters Hall of Fame means more because your peers are voting for you (actually peers are voting for RoRHOF too). He talked about playing the opening. She asked if he would play and he said, “Of course, why wouldn’t I? After 150 million records and putting a lot of a’s in seats, we’ve made a lot of people happy… If I get in, I’ll show up.”

Nik asked about a Les Paul guitar Richie got, trying to get to another story. Richie said Les brought him a guitar for his birthday. He said it sucks because his friends are older and they die sooner.

Lori asked Ori about being a woman guitarist. Richie immediatley interrupted. (He is coming across very disrespectful of Ori and treating her like a piece of a). I

I got distracted by someone at work.

He said she’s an amazing cook. Bob Rock helped him make a studio in his house. So if he gets an idea at 4:00 AM, he can go work on it.

Nik told Lori she was a great singer in addition to being a great guitarist.

Post interview, Nik said she looked very irritated at times and was giving him a “Oh, shut up” look. He’s 58 and she’s 32.
