Although is an Orianthi's song I love Together On The Outside
|
OK, I've listened to the new EP. The first was better (sic!). The best here is I don't want to have to need you now bc it's mostly Richie *yeah, you've guessed that* although Together on the Outside is OK, too.
I miss Rich in BJ. |
I'm listening now as I type... it's really just a continuation of the last one... catchy songs that are ripped off from other artists... I think my favorite of the bunch is IDWTHTNY regardless of its 30 Seconds To Mars intro... overall it's not garbage but just not what I want from Richie...
The only song I'm addicted to is the bonus track... One Night Of Peace... This is the album I want... It's just Richie, it has emotion, it's catchy as hell, and it's classic. Thank goodness for the vaults... Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk |

Also, since these guys are Swedish, I wonder if Andreas Carlsson co-wrote the tune. It's not up on the BMI website. |
Only thing is: One Night of Peace os older. I think it's from the 90s, its avaliable in a Bruce Foster record.

It was released in 1995 with The Answer, by Bruce Foster.

Doesn't change all that much, since both songs were co-written by Richie. But curious to see it's been around that long.

There was someone on this board who was trying to spread gossip that a lot of Richie's co-written songs are mainly the other writer. Mainly Bruce Foster and Richie Supa. I wish I could find the post but I don't know how much validity it has.

Richie Supa I believe; they guy has quite the track record with Aerosmith and all that. You wouldn't hire him to just watch you write a track.
It IS weird that the guy who supposedly was the genius behind all the Bon Jovi hits, who got ****ed out of getting properly credited on those songs he wrote, that this guy writes less songs on his own per solo album than JBJ does per average band record and always has people to collaborate with. Then again, Bernie Taupin famously writes lyrics only; Luke Ebbin didn't get credited at all on the BJ records he did - these seem like unlikely choices if he really has trouble coming up with music on his own. So maybe he really needs the outside input? The structure of another person involved? If this whole extended solo episode has proven one thing, it's that Richie works best when he's got someone who reels him in, gives him structure and he can bounce off. And you damn well know who I'm talking about. I'm not sure if Richie's learned to be the perfect sidekick and originally was all he claims in interviews to still be, but as of now, he has serious trouble pulling weight on his own. |
