Whatever we who like most of bands work are,we still enjoy it while you and others moaning and go rude, harsh towards the band. You dont like it,ok,dont go see them live, dont listen new stuff, just dont be the smartest guy here because you are not,you are provocative, nothing more. |
I apologise to moderators,I wont write anymore here but just two things are very bad or wrong here:
1. couple of fans here criticise everything band do from Crush to THINFS,its ok to criticise but non stop and with such "profine" choice of words but still call yourself fan of the band,no way; 2. everyone who see something good in bands work,on every album from Crush to THINFS are named backstagers, schlager audience an so on. I dont know better audience for any band than SA audience, are they schlager or target audience. If they say that couple of shows last year were good, who is Seb or any others here negative people to say that they are in bad shape just because Jon cant hit every note, what singer his age can? I saw Whitesnake and Maiden couple of times last 4,5 years,Coverdale voice is worst than Jons,Dickinson also mostly shouts but energy and playing is thing that audience enjoy, not only singing. |
It's 2018 and there are still people on tell others who disagree "what to do" instead of what they are doing on a message board. Amazing.

Some advice. The people who you may assume hate the band are or were actually huge fans. They are just in a different place with their emotional connection and their expectancies now. When I first started posting here around 2007 I think, I was surprised at the negative comments and moans about stagnant sets. I would think “Christ stop moaning - go or don’t go. Nobody is forcing you”.......but that was because I was relatively content. (I’d prefer better but was still ok with most sets) But MY contentment and MY acceptance somewhat clouded my opinion of others. They weren’t moaning for the sake of it, they just knew the band/Jon were capable of better. It didn’t make them love the band less or make me love them more. We were just seeing things different. 99% of posters here are BJ fans. So maybe take the negativity you perceive and just see it as fans who want better because they know the levels this band once hit. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

In this age and time? Better for what? Harder sound, more riffs, lyrics like TD era? They wont do that. |

They are capable of delivering better songwriting and better production/musical arrangements. Neither Jon, nor Tico or Dave he unlearned what they were once capable of in that field. There's always that one song here and there (Teardrop, Who Would You Die For, Fingerprints) that show that they still have it in them. Yet the most creative output we got in the past 15 years were stuff from the vault - Box Set, NJ Demos, Burning Bridges. No one expects Jon to sing like in 1995 and to re-write SWW or TD. But us older fans are around hoping that they put something out that doesn't sound like a carbon copy of anything released in the past 8-10 years and actually shows that they're still capable of so much more. |

Maybe they are just overtouring and realised too many albums in short time but still good. |

I accepted that a LONG time ago. My suggestion was, in plainer language: click on a different thread. 😁 |
there was a 40 min pro shot video from namm 2018, in fact its still available on youtube, very few people commented on it and probably few saw it but we continue to discuss if the thread is derailed...
imo everyone should post his thoughts freely in a truthful kind matter and if we dont agree in certain topics its ok we can move on |
