I’m not an advocate of wallowing in misery and that seems to be all that’s going on here. I check in to see if there are problems or bots, but I also spend a fraction of the time here I used to. I found something that brings me happiness, so my primary focus is there until there’s actually something developing on the Bon Jovi front.

The life and joy have been sucked right out of this forum. Depressing.

All Richie's drama is kept in ONE a**long thread so it's so EASY to steer clear of it in case it's boring or depressing for anyone. If I'm not interested, I don't participate. Period.

I agree completely, and I'm spending less time here too, but that's partly becasue the band, or anyone related to the band are not giving us anything to look forward to or get excited about. It's only natural that in the absence of anything new people go over the same stuff again and again, and unfortunately most of that is negative. But i think we should probably get used to the lack of news and my gut tells me that they are all going to be slowing down a lot going forward, which is also only natural I suppose...

Not sure, since RDK didn't answer my question. I think we're having all this fun because RDK assumed that I was criticizing Jon when I was simply explaining a pot-kettle-black epiphany I had. But that didn't occur to me until we were knee-deep into it.

Couldn't possibly be a discussion we've repeated for much more than a year and a half, though. 'Cause I didn't start bitching about Jon throwing Richie under a marketing bus until the promos for THINFS started in late 2016. ;)

You jumped to Jon's defense over what you apparently thought was unjust criticism and started disputing what I said with your usual mix of "power-phrased (incorrect) facts" BEFORE you even read enough to know I wasn't criticizing!

CLIFF NOTES: I wasn't criticizing Jon! I was explaining that.I HAD criticized him in the past for being hypocritical and it led to me realizing that I was as guilty of hypocrisy as I had accused him of being. It was historical background!!!

I've responded to most of it more than once, and you seem to be ignoring it, so I'm not doing it again. It's all in previous posts if you're interested.

The only thing new here is your comment about truth. I'm not offended by truth or honesty. Never have been. And I couldn't be offended by Jon's "truth" because he can't seem to decide what that is. It changes with every new promotion.

As I said, the only thing that offended me about Jon's "truth" was the way he used whatever it was, at the time, to manipulate fans and to further undermine whatever respect they still had for a bandmate he claims to love and have no ill-will towards, just to sell a record and strengthen his own position with fans in the process. You think he didn't do that. Point taken. But that doesn't change my opinion.

IMO, the media is an instrument Jon uses to get across any mesage he wants to get across, exactly the way he way he wants to get it across, at any given point in time. That's actually the purpose of media. And Jon plays it like a Stradivarius. Still, it's naive, imo, to buy into every message, without question, until the next message comes around, only to buy into the new message, no matter how contradictory it may be, as if the previous one never existed. But that's how I see it. You seem to see it differently and that's okay.

Now, since you seem to agree with Becky that this conversation should never have taken place, I guess we can stick a fork in it, right? :)
