If Richie came out with his own solo album and had her play some guitar and provide some backing vocals, I'd be cool with that. That full on writing / lead singing partnership is a huge turnoff to me. She's not a superstar as far as I'm concerned, I don't care what she has to write about, I don't care for her vocals, and the two don't mesh together musically. Now if Richie teamed up with a Powerhouse Mega Talent like Pink, I'd be all for it.
That's like Jon coming out with a duets album with Lorenza Ponce. Super talented at her own craft but not worthy of duets album with a Mega Star.
And the same goes for their dating. He's acting like they are Brad and Angelina. She's a B List Celebrity (actually in America I wouldn't even consider her a celebrity) and he's on the verge of becoming a B List.
Bottom line, if Richie wants to date a younger girl and have her chill with him, join some live shows, throw down some backing tracks on the new album, Cool... It was the whole "RSO" we are Sonny and Cher on steroids, blah blah blah, blah blah blah that turned a lot of people off...

Pretty much my sentiments from day 1 - maybe a bit lower opinion to me but basically this was the first to mess with the music. I think his demons returned and she "participates". Not a good mix. Even Nikki Lund who wanted to sing, they were going to put a CD in the fashion has gone on to do a billboard dance chart song. So maybe by that she's as big a U.S.celebrity as Ori? They cancelled the oz shows so not a big draw there either. The man gets himself into trouble with drama ladies - but the music stayed stable, until this mess. He said he was funding everything, so take their time. She posted too much personal/vacation/school girl my love shit and it began to turn people away. Sugar Daddy image!
But, she is back to re-tweeting RSO and the C-Snap in support of Heather has been taken down. Maybe they are after a reality show? Nothing would surprise me.
Losing hope of ever having him back musically the way he was and a reunion with the band if ever is a long way off imo. |
