i have been hard to richie in the past years because he was my favorite member and felt short imo BUT i have to give him that after all these years he is trully passionate about making records, bob rock will push him for sure and i hope richie rises up to the ocassion. what surprises me is that orianthi seems to have a guest role more and more judjing by the tweets/photos and clips.
richie always seemed more truthful about records, he said the usual bs for promo/pr but looked more honest in some interviews in comparison to jon who always sounded that it was his best record ...aotl was a nice effort missing the it factor for sure imo, bob rock may help richie get back on fom

I hope Bob Rock show to Richie the way more focused and professional.

It looks like she's trying to pursue her solo career with her own band as well: gigs, interviews, she's just recorded a tune for Guitar World magazine...

Hell yah, these are the kind of riffs I want to hear on the album.

I would love nothing more than for Jon to listen to Richie's new album, hear an amazing production done by Bob, Jon wanting that sound for the next Bon Jovi album, and a collaboration between Rock, Shanks, Jovi, & Sambora to take place. (The only reason why I included Shanks is for Jon's vocals)...

Even if Richie doesn't want to tour with Jon anymore, they should at least put out a Bon Jovi album featuring Richie Sambora. I know that will never happen but it would be cool, different, and interesting!!!!

i dont agree, people will keep wanting richie back regardless if the album does good or not.
jon wont push richie to play with him it will have to be mutual.
thinfs is important to bj for sure but even if the album doesnt do well they can make a strong statament with a tour.
the same goes for richie, it will be very hard to have a succesful single and usa, the market that matters the most in the music industry is not available to them so its a high stake for both of them, jon has more chances to win.

I'm so glad Richie is putting some real studio time in on this album and working with a great like Bob Rock instead of some Luke Ebbin-esque producer who works mainly from his laptop. The vibe seems very relaxed and the input of the likes of little steven can only help.

Now lets just hope Orianthi doesn't **** it up!

I'm seriously wandering whether this album is ever gonna make an appearance. Richie & ori seem way too concentrated on charity appearances and tours of Oz to work on the release of it. they keep going from producer to producer, back and forth to the studio, sharing photos OLD photos and not giving any clue as to the album title or anything.. I sound like a debbie downer, honest to god I'm not but i'm tired of the diehard fans not recognizing it for what it is & pretending its all ok. I asked ori on instagram when its gonna be released & a Nikki Nobody replied 'you can't hurry art'. WTF!!! HONEY IT'S BEEN 2 years in the MAKING. what happened to the sonny & cher cover huh? my theory is they can't get it right and it isnt working out & thats why they taking every appearance offered cause live appearances is where its at.. but they should be honest & tell us whats going on & why so many setbacks..

I'm losing a little faith in this, but there is something that reassures me, is Bob Rock aboard. His way of working is more perfectionist, and I want an album well done. The big mistake of Atermath was not the composition, his mistake was fast and cheap production.


Two years is a long time, but something tells me that if they had released the album last year, We would have an album with production errors and some bad decisions.

If they don't launch a single soon and delay the album for next year again, then I would be very disappointed. But good, no matter because I have in the calendar marked October 21 a new album Jovi and Metallica on November 18.

I read on Twitter on a post from Richard Wilkins that they have postponed an interview with RSO on the Today Show until next week so they can play new music. Presume we will hear something new within the next week then...

I'm wary of judging the song based on that snippet, but it doesn't sound like what I'd personally want from Richie in his post-BJ career. You can barely hear his voice at all in the snippet, and the production doesn't sound anything like I anticipated. I hoping that's just because they're trying to create a huge, uplifting chorus - and that the rest of the song, or at least the rest of the album sounds better than that.

I think this might be one of the songs were Orianthi takes the vocal lead.

Horrible, horrible clips. Sugarland meats Shania Twain. Yuk. This is not what I want from Richie and this is why I really hope this RSO project doesn't stay past 1 album. Get it out of your system working with your girlfriend then get back to some solo work on your own.
