Once this album bombs, their relationship will too...

I had a conversation along this line recently with someone - wonder if part of the delay will mean they "have" to tour the release & the numbers won't lie? They will have some success but not imo what they seem to expect. Can't keep boasting at that point. But - she has already deleted on her fan account, the RSO account and her personal account the posts about spotify. |
It's still on her insta though ;)

All I know is that I really wish she would just STFU until she KNOWS a firm date for when it's going to be released. Period. Full stop. |

Richie on the other hand is old school and he quite often does not come over too well, and I don't think he enjoys social media much if at all. Anyway. I believe when I see the record on a shop or online. |
I think it's two different eras. Her social media is methodical and done smartly, his tends to be misspelled and random when he does it himself but not too many 80s rock stars are social media mavens. It's absolutely a necessity in 2017 either way.

Between the two of them, posting photos of constant vacations after working on the album since 2014 in their case, and 2013 in his case is just a baffling choice.

I mean, could there be a connection with all the vacation shots and all the new material (absence of) :p |
It's really simple. If Richie wants to make better use of social media, hire someone who can help. His tweets are often nonsense. It's not an age thing. If he's happy how it is, great.

I think after the great twitter meltdown "I was hacked" after his tour was cancelled people realized it can be dangerous when he uses it. |
I don't know if it's true but...
On July 11th, RSO (Richie Sambora and orianthi) will release their new album, titled "Making History"! :) The album will include two cover songs (Sonny & Cher's "I Got You Babe" and Michael Jackson's "Black Or White") as well as the guest appearance of Alice Cooper himself! :) "Making History" track listing: 1. Making History 2. I Got You Babe 3. Jump With Me 4. Never Again 5. Secret Of Love 6. Black Or White 7. Dangerous Road 8. Coldest Heart 9. Gods Of Strings (instrumental) 10. Truth 11. Done With It! 12. Scary Night (feat. Alice Cooper) 13. Miss You Like A Dog (Harriet’s Song) The Japanese edition will also include: 14. Forgiveness Street 15. Our Secret Place |

I really wish people wouldn't be quite so quick to believe the worst about Richie. You might want to check that "off colour" tweet again, Cap'n. It was sent to Brooklyn Allman, apparently an inside joke since she's one of "auntie" Ori's good friends - not Richie's niece, and not 16. Quote:

I'm new to posting on this board, though I've read here for a long time.... Been following Richie and Ori's social media somewhat. Be interesting to see what's next.. |

I hope it's true. Most of the titles sound legit, so I hope it's not somebody's idea of an April Fools' joke. The only part that sounds iffy to me is July 11. That's Richie's birthday and it won't be on a Friday, which is when I thought all new releases come out. Guess we'll know soon enough... |
And... another one bites the dust!

It's interesting that there is no definite date for their album release... And also no more BJ tour dates announced yet... Or...Maybe not that interesting ;) :) |

I only see what she posts on her Instagram |

So it would seem that yes, they have recorded an album; but the jury's still out on when it will be released. |

I guess he doesn't seem to use Instagram, whereas she posts several times a day - albeit mostly unrelated to their new music |
I know its off topic but has anyone read Richies wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richie_Sambora
The section about being in Bon Jovi for 30 years is only 4 lines long. What a joke! Whoever wrote it is obviously trying to shift attention to his solo work. |

"I Saw the Light", a song written by Little Steven, Richie and Orianthi, will be on Stevie's album "Soulfire", out in May 19th. Stevie says: "I Saw The Light" "I had half-written it for Richie Sambora & Orianthi but the next time I talked to him he had already written 40 songs so I didn't bother finishing it. I came across it as we were making my album and thought, I like this, maybe I'll finish it for me." |

What's the point in going over the Bon Jovi history on his page, when all of the info is already on the Bon Jovi wiki page, which it links directly to. Of course it's going to focus on his solo work, as that isn't covered elsewhere. Sometimes people just look for things to find the negatives in... |

Yes. Sometimes people do just look for things to find the negatives in... But you certainly can't say condensing 30 years in the band (more than half the time Richie has been alive) into a 4 line stub is a fair representation of his career. It gives the impression the main thing Richie did was his 3 solo albums and makes it sounds like the guy just turned up to the odd Jovi show to play guitar. |
There are some pictures of Richie and Bob Rock on jannarden's instagram. Just an FYI.
|
Jann Arden! Random! She was/is a household name in Canada. Bizarre to see her name in that context.
|
|
Thanks for posting the pictures. I wonder what he's up to with Jann.
I love seeing them work in the studio. Very cool! |
Still no release date? Must be struggling for a label and distribution. Don't take 2 years to record an album.
|
new releasedate is september according to Orianthi
