First of all No Richie (or at least not a vocal lead verse)...

Second, this could be a great song based on that smokey blues sound but again, her vocals destroy it... no emotion, no range, no passion...

This song is for her fans only....

I really want to like this stuff but I just can't... hopefully the last song is just Richie...

I can't fathom why she would share the song in full unless it was added last minute and kind of confirms some of the songs were done solo or prior to the pairing.

Actually, she shared on Twitter a link to her new website iamorianthi.com that is "coming soon". Also, on Instagram she changed her website to that one, and in fact took away a reference to RSO in her bio. I don't really understand why she would do so, because having a lesser focus on the coming album may hurt its chances quite a lot. Should have at least waited and started promoting going solo only after this project. No idea what's gonna happen...

Other news: RSO's performance on PBS Soundstage will be on air May 3rd. (http://www.pbs.org/program/soundstage/). The show is produced by their label BMG, so a well placed ad to the album should do good for it...

Pretty sure that's Richie in the backing vocals on the verse though!? I don't have a problem with her having another solo song, Richie has more than her on the album. It's a nice bluesy song, and could sit on one of her albums comfortably.

I still really want to hear a nice bluesy Richie song, but not on this album it seems...

Queue post for RD claiming that she has now officially dumped Richie and he's going to go crawling back to Jon

I think it makes perfect sense for them to both do other things outside of RSO, she has a brand and she can use the website to focus on her solo stuff as well as RSO which will introduce her stuff to the Richie fans that might not be aware. I wish Richie would do the same thing and get his online stuff sorted. RichieSambora.com has been coming soon for ages, and could be really cool if done properly....

NicoRourke 03-29-2018 11:44 AM

Am I the only one that does not like the album artwork?
All the EP & RSO single covers look so damn cheesy and silly, with Richie and Ori always posing like idiots.

I don't mind the album cover but the EP covers were horrible, especially Making History...

I actually think theyd do better on their own.
The Duo thing lost all credibility when they started shagging. Everyone was like "oh Richies using his dick to think again"

To me a song like Forever All The Way sounds 300 percent Richie and a song like Blues...sounds pretty Orianthi. If I were a betting man, they fixed up old songs, added backing vocals and some arrangement things and bam. You don't work on an album for 4 years and then post one of the tracks on your Facebook page with no attribution to RSO.

REALLY hoping Hellbound Train is a Richie rocker. At over 8 minutes it's the one I'm most excited for.

Hey, maybe I wasn't so far off with the idea that they were working on solo stuff and RSO stuff at the same time! :)

Seriously though, I agree with you about Hellbound Train. I'm more excited about that than I've been about anything yet!

I've learnt one thing with Ori and Richie and their RSO project and that is not to jump into conclusions too quickly. Those two are as unpredictable as weather in spring. It's annoying but it keeps you interested, too.

radio free america...
could someone explain me the title?? english isnt my native language so ...
does it implies that songs have the power to change things in america??? it looks to me grammatically incorrect:puppydog:

Becky 03-30-2018 04:18 PM

The movie Red Dawn had a station called Radio Free America. Or it could be a reference to what was called “pirate radio” many years ago. It could really mean a lot of things, but those things come to mind.

Rdkopper 03-30-2018 07:18 PM

I think it has something to do with this

Radio Free America
@RadioFreeAmerica

"The online streaming platform for college & community radio. Stream hundreds of archived programs on demand and explore by genre, station, DJ or show."

One Night of Peace (Modern Mix) is available to buy on Itunes/Amazon. Off course, spotify too.

It has less orchestration, the solo stands out more, but I think I like more the first mix, sound more epic.

SuperBrad 03-31-2018 06:11 AM

Oh yeah , i love love love the new mix more ;)

Willing myself to like this stuff but the truth is it’s utterly underwhelming. Richie is capable of so much more, or at least was. The sooner he abandons this project the better.

Thinny 03-31-2018 08:11 PM

Much prefer the new mix of One Night Of Peace, I couldn't really get into the original and was my least fave of the Richie only songs.

I could go for an entire album of that....

It's got a little Father Time feel...

But some of the editing is off especially when the first chorus hit...

That was great! I hope there will be a full show video that us Europeans can find on the Internet after the program has aired...

Here's a new interview concerning e.g. name of the album and rehearsals for the Hall of Fame ceremony.

Last night's set list was apparently:

When Love Comes to Town
Rise
You Give Love a Bad Name (Parital)
Making History
Truth
I'm Your Hoochie Coochie Man
Walk With Me
Heaven in This Hell
Wanted Dead or Alive
Cleveland Rocks

Looked like a great turn out from the pics on social media and the fireworks went off as they finished.

Thinny 04-08-2018 12:16 PM

He also did a surprise appearance at the Museum singing Midnight Rider and Wanted earlier in the day with some kids from the Rock Hall education program

Little bit of footage from the outdoor show at the end of this.

Go to 8:30. It sounds like Ori is saying the release date is changing to add some new tracks. The interviewer mentions May so it's current info.

EDIT: Wow, a strange interview.
