Are these songs covers?

I've got two songs from live BJ performances called' Jersey Girl' and 'Heaven Help Us'. Does anyone know where they are from? :?:

Jersey Girl is a Tom Waits song Jon has sung many times--especially on his Destination Anywhere promotion. Heaven Help Us is a song Richie covered at the Christmas show in 1996.

Thanks Becky!

They're both pretty good songs too. :)

They also played it in Bremen in 2000 and it is published as a B-side of one of Jon's singles (not sure which one at the moment) live from Australia.

Heaven Help Us was at the 95 Christmas show, not 96.

also 'heaven help us' was originally written and performed by stevie wonder. never thought richie could give it the bluesy touch it needed.

Really? You didn't expect this? Richie has such a great bluesy voice. You should listen to the songs When a blind man cries and You'll never really know. Than you know how bluesy he can sing LOL.

i know both songs, and like 'heaven help us' are incredibly bluesy. what i was tryin' to say is that, if you listen to the original stevie wonder's song, it's amazing what richie has done with it.

another richie's song i really appreciate sooo much when he sing it is "i'll be there 4 u". the duet between cristal telefarro and richie is the best i ever heard (bootleg 'on lead guitar. live in san diego').
