Yeah, shame on him for having an opinion and answering questions honestly.

This is already being talked about in another thread.

My god, hasn't someone been hit with the naive stick or what. He isn't answering the questions honestly, dont be daft. He's answering purely with digs at Jon. At Jon for showing Richie that not one person is bigger than the band, hence not pulling the tour. This is deep rooted anger Richie has for Jon. Look at the state of him in this interview. He's a mess and he's trying to convince himself that he's moving on without Jon. Truth be told he will never EVER be the man he was without the band. He's a deluded drunk that needs to know where his bread is buttered and realise he is making a complete tit of himself. He's disguising this pathetic demonstration as freedom to write, play and be free spirited.

You're guilty of what you accuse Richie of being: bitter. You're trying to start drama that just isn't there. Where is this deep rooted anger you speak of? Trying to make every statement seem like it's a dig is pathetic. He isn't the only one in the band who said they hated the early songs. This "He isn't with us, so he's against us" attitude some have is childish.

Yeah, people do not remember well when Jon said 7800º is sucks, and he was not happy to play songs from their first album.

Richie is bad and drunk. Jon is a white angel hair.

At least he turned up. Every night. Even with torn cruciate ligaments. Where has your golden boy been the last few months? Oh yeah living his mid-life crisis. Selling out schools and tiny little theatres

You don't have much of a memory. Jon isn't the only one who went on stage with an injury. Richie also toured while going through a divorce and his father's illness. Richie did his time.

Yeah, in rehab. Which I have no problem with by the way. I would not begrudge him for needing time off for fighting his demons.

But this time there's been nothing wrong with him. He just didn't turn up, turned his back on the fans, spent 5 minutes with his daughter and never went back to work. Coming from a blue collar part of the States and supposedly having blue collar values this just smacks of hypocrisy, as well as betrayal and lies. WHich part of all this are you naive people not understanding. Get your Richie blinkers off and look at the real picture. It tells me what sort of values you have as a person if you condemn behavior like this from a supposed role model.

1) Richie is not my role model. And who would use a rock star as a role model? Who needs role models anyway?
2) Richie did a tour with a broken shoulder.
3) I don't give a shit about Richie quitting the tour or the band.
4) For me it's always been about the music. I don't care about anything else.
5) I would never take a rock star's choices so personally. None of my business.
