Monty Python

Anyone here like it? I love it. All of the movies are ace; Meaning of Life, Life Of Brian and Holy Grail.

"He's not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy"

The Black Knight sketch; "Look you stupid b*stard, you've got no arms left" "Yes I have" "Look!" "Just a flesh wound"

The whole Mr Creasote (sp) sketch is hilarious; "Would you like a mint sir? It's only wafer thin"

How about "And Now For Something Completeley Different" and "The Meaning of Life"? Plus the wonderful "Live at the Hollywood Bowl"?

But you're right, they rule...

"MAYNARD:
'...The Castle of aaaaaagggh'.
BEDEVERE:
What is that?
MAYNARD:
He must have died while carving it."

or

"ARTHUR: What are you going to do, bleed on me?
BLACK KNIGHT: I'm invincible!
ARTHUR: You're a looney.
BLACK KNIGHT: The Black Knight always triumphs! Have at you! Come on, then.

[whop]
[ARTHUR chops the BLACK KNIGHT's last leg off]

BLACK KNIGHT: Oh? All right, we'll call it a draw."

Had to add this one about the Holy Handgrenade:
"SECOND BROTHER:
And the Lord spake, saying, 'First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then, shalt thou count to three. No more. No less. Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, nor either count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then, lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it.'
MAYNARD:
Amen.
KNIGHTS:
Amen.
ARTHUR:
Right! One!... Two!... Five!"

Monty Python is cool, but I like John Cleese's Fawlty Towers better.

Yeah. I have the triple disc DVD boxset, which has both series.

"Don't mention the war. I mentioned it once but I think I got away with it all right"

"You speak German?" "Oh German. I'm sorry I thought there was something wrong with you"

I like Now for Something Completely Different a ton! The Hungarian phrasebook is the best! "Would you like to come to my place, bouncey bouncey?" Another good one is the Spam sketch. I have often quoted the part with "spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, baked beans, and spam." Oh yes, then there's the wonderful spam song.

My favourite sketch is with the dead parrot. I love that, every time i see it i crack up laughing. I love the Holy Grail and the Life of Bryan.

in the LOB how he is trying to convince the followers he is not a holyman while he is in the pit. He just cant win.

"Now go away or i shall taunt u a second timmma!"
