Questions about concert length and the crowd
Won tickets from a radio station for the Columbus, OH show this Sunday - not sure what to expect. What time does BJ come on and how long do they play? Also, what would you guess is the average age of the audience? Hubby and I are afraid we'll look like dinosaurs!

BJ are almost 20 years old so the crowd is a very mixed bag of ages. I went to see them on the OWN Tour and there were rockers from about 8 through to about 68 that I could see. As for show length, they usually come on at about 8:00pm (for the UK shows at least) and can play anything from 2 hours 20 mins right through to over 3 hours if the crowd is good and they feel up to it. Hope you enjoy the gig anyway. I'm going to see them in June at Hyde Park and I am so jealous you get to see them this weekend - I have to wait a whole 4 1/2 months. :D

My husband and I are both 54. We just saw the show at Continental Arena in New Jersey. There were lots of people that at least LOOKED older than we are! Don't miss a great show because of age. Remember, Jon is 40 also!
The Goo Goo Dolls played for about 45 minutes. Jon came on about 8:30pm and played until about 11:15pm (approx.) Enjoy :D |
Go and have fun, and don't spite yourself because you feel out of place. There are so many different types of people and all different ages. Besides, no one will be looking at you, Trust me! LOL

Only Jon? Where were the other guys of the band?
Sorry, I guess you can tell who I was looking at all night! |
I was at Continental also and it really was a mix of ages. There were some 16 year old girls next to us, then people in their early, late 20's all around. Of course there was a middle aged woman who got blasted right behind us and was trying to "lasso" Jon while she was grabbing my husband's hair. That is a different story. :x
