Gutted that Moyes got the sack. I really was loving every minute of him being in charge. I would have give him at least the season and seen how he done 3 or 4 games into the new season after a summer of trying to buy players. He knows he flapped it in the last window so this would have been the opportunity for him to step up and try and prove people wrong and make his wrongs turn into rights.

Can't say I am surprised that he got the sack, though. Had a feeling it was coming, just a shame that it has happened. Giggs in charge won't do much either and they will need a new manager ASAP in my opinion. I think that Giggs is too familiar with the players and they won't look up to him as a coach. They didn't do it with Moyes and I certainly don't think they will with Giggs. Would have put Phil Neville in charge for the time being, personally.

In terms of the title race, Sunday could decide it. I was hoping that Man City would drop points on the weekend as that could mean that we could have won it on Sunday when City play Palace. Not to worry.

I really don't want Everton to win it for us, though. They play City soon and I just know that all we will get is 'If it wasn't for us...' from them.

Didn't half panic v Norwich, though. Again at half time I said that we cannot afford to sit back. That is what we done after the second goal anyway I thought. Sterling was unbelievable again. Really has been a revelation this season and deserves Young POTY.

Made up that Cech and Terry are out (or look like they are) so we just need to keep going on now. Silva is out for City and it looks like Aguero's season is over so if we can hold onto our players, that could be very very vital.

I didn't want to see him go before the end of the season but disagree that Giggs is the right man to take temporary charge.

He might be one of the players but that means he can talk to them on their level and knows exactly how the team ticks. He's also heavily respected - nobody's won more than him in English football so it would take a stupid and arrogant individual to try to argue with his methods, not to mention the fact that he learned from the best. He understands Fergie's tactical nous and attitude to the club so I think this might be an opportunity for him to really stamp his mark on the team before he inevitably relinquishes control to someone with more managerial experience.

He no longer has to stress about running Man U into the ground.

I think when the dust settles, he'll come out of this a lot better than Man U or the Glazers - when you take away all the schadenfraude, a lot of people feel he should have been given longer and the whole media circus that started on Monday will work in his favour too.



He took up the challenge and didn't quite make it but it doesn't mean he's a bad manager, after he's sick of spending his money he'll find a job somewhere else and do a decent enough job like he did at Everton.

Moyes will do fine at a mid to lower league club or maybe the Scotland manager's post where nothing spectacular is expected.

I agree with the above post that he won't come out of this the worst. Man Utd have shown that they are just another ruthless money obsessed club. The idea that they're some kind of close knit family is beyond laughable.

I was watching the game with my dad on Sunday down the pub and the chat inevitably got round to Moyes tenure and someone cracked out the classic "Fergie had a rough time at the start"

I pointed out that he was talking about nearly 30 years ago and Fergie didn't have the Glazers or the kind of money riding on initial success to cost him his job.

City, Chelsea and Liverpool are in the same boat as well as a bunch of mid table teams - they've got rid of perfectly good managers just to try and grab instant success / cash / delete as appropriate.

That won't happen (lol), but I still want Wenger to go regardless of whether we win that FA Cup or not.

I've always said that one day I hope we don't get 4th....coz maybe then our ambitions can change. Majority of fans agree. It's the Board that see it as a Trophy. This is what happens when Clubs are run by people who don't know a thing or 2 about the Sport.

I hope you're right. But I thought Liverpool were gutless in the 2nd half and that Gerrard error just knocked all the belief out of them. Gerrard was taking long shot after long shot and not even getting a sniff. Then towards the end of the game the confidence went and the passing was all over the place. Rodgers needs to work his magic in these next two games. Palace should be fine, but Spurs are not going to be easy. Its City's to lose but when was the last time 3 teams were within a shout at this point of the season. Possibly the most interesting Premier League in its 21 years of existence.
