No, your initial instincts were right -- the New York Post is a slightly glorified scandal sheet that specializes in giving journalism a bad name with slimy "subtle suggestions" such as that.
The article originally said that Dot "sliced her palm below her wrist." Your palm isn't below your wrist unless your arm is straight down at your side, where I doubt Dot's was if she was "slicing" something. But mentioning her wrist gives them an "excuse" to mention the suicide of Madoff's son -- except that he hanged himsef, not slit his wrists. And that's how the Post operates. |
