Richie & Orianthi Belfast 1st July 2014

Hey,

One week to go! Just wondering if anyone has received their tickets yet from ticketmaster? Strange how you can print them yourself for the dublin show but could only select postage or collection for Belfast

Roll on next week!

Did you get your ticket after? Mine is box-office collection. Much handier if you could print them out!

got them a long time ago.

Got my tickets last week. I think only Rep Ireland Venues allow printed tickets for some reason.

It'll be interesting to see how well this sells as Slayer are playing up the road at the same time which may take a chunk of the casual rock fans away.

when do we think he will be on stage? Is there a support act?

Jonny Sambora 07-01-2014 07:50 PM

All set! Dublin was excellent last night but as he was rushing and didn't have time to sound check I think tonight will be even better as he has been here all day and wont have to rush off after!

Amazing that im seeing Richie in belfast, never thought it would happen!

Jon needs to sort this mess out as Richie rocked tonight including rocking up the bonjovi songs!! Need him back in the band playing like this!!

This must actually be my first post in years!! dont worry, still lurking most days to see whats being said

Went to the gig last night and I have to say I was very impressed by Richie, or maybe surprised is a better word, especially after all the reviews here. A friend told me he met Richie before the show and could smell with whiskey of him, so I wasn't expecting much! Then he stepped on stage and like someone mentioned in Dublin he gave a very Axl Rose, impression, fat, out of shape and very old!

Iv always been told not to judge on first impressions and thank God I didnt because his performance thought-out the night was fantastic! I can through the songs one by one, but that would take ages!! Highlight songs for me where These Days, Kite, Nowadays and 7 years gone (Wanted of course and other Bon Jovi songs all went down very well) All the songs where performed with passion and energy, all that was missing from Jovi in Slane last year. Richie was chatting with the crowd was in great spirits throughout the show and while Orianthi isnt at his level she does a great job on the songs, at least to my ear

A lot of AOL stuff played, which I didnt mind because i love the album (same we didnt get "so high" and "backseat driver" and I wouldnt have minded some more Stranger outings but all in all, he played for over 2 hours to a 3/4 full audience and it was worth the money

Stood and waited for him outside the stage after, was lucky enough to get a handshake, I wasn't too far from Neurotica80 i guess, because I heard him answering the question you asked lol
