how many people will be there? looks like richie keeps feeling and playing better...
i just read an interview in a german magazine where richie stated that with orianthi he has chemistry like he had never met before...sleeping with her probably helps...but sounded like another cheap shot to jon...anyway richie shouldnt come back as a wayward son but rather than an adult with some valid points about the way the organization works...it has been overdiscussed but i m surprised by the way tico and david seem to handle the subject and distant themselves from richie...i expected they would try to compromise the situation...looks like its all up to jon and when he will trully feel nostalgic about richie(yes i trully believe jon wont take richie back just for the money and the marketing buzz, he has sadly proved that he can replace all of them and sound like shit but still be applaused by the crowds, hope he doesnt became an axl in these way ) |
It was superb. I love small venues when you can feel the drumbeat in your heart. Richie was in good form and you could feel the love from the crowd during the set!

Had the pleasure of meeting him-completely off his face!

Slightly more polished performance in some ways than Dublin - great to hear Answer rather than Prayer - but the crowd and atmosphere was better in Dublin. There were a fair few people where I was up near the front in Glasgow who didn't seem to know the music and who wouldn't let others push up to the front even when there was room. Also, tall people holding phones/cameras up for most of the gig:wtf? Blocking other people's views and not even appreciating what is right in front of you!

Can't believe the improvement this show was over the opening night in London. I got a great video of Richie and the bag pipe player performing at the stage door for us afterwards :))

Didn't seem drunk at all to me. I'm sure he'd probably had a couple beforehand but in fairness his usual mumblings were perfectly understandable. His voice was great even if his playing was a little below par. Orianthi was superb and I didn't hear a single fluffed note all night from her and jeez can she play - well impressed.
Decent gig but the crowd in London 2 years ago was waaaay better. |
Heres my recording from outside the venue after the show.
