I think it'll be close to We Don't Run which I wouldn't mind. As long as it isn't another midtempo song or a simple IML clone I'll probably be happy.

I think your right. I think what Jon meant was that he is doesn't like the grind of going on the road, the traveling.

I think it will be like Beautiful Day, but what I like to me, is that it was a completely original new track to break with the established, something like what was once Keep The Faith.

Why are you obsessed with it sounding like some other song? And why are you obsessed with Beautiful Day?

I had some fun with the title God Bless This Mess today. I sent a couple of my close friend/close coworkers this e-mail:

Bon Jovi's next single is titled, "God Bless This Mess." I've just been sitting here with all these folders pulling my hair out and it's like,

You're not lowering your expectations, you're just being a realist... We are talking about a beat up Rockstar in his mid 50s with no upper range... Those days of a vocal driven song like Something To Believe In are over... The only alternative is a balls out rocker like If I Was Your Mother... Jon needs to get his balls back and be a rock star again... No more if this What Do You Got Bullshit... or digitized The More Things Change crap... Just old school analog rockers...

It's strange, I have a love / hate for this song.


But this list was just a game to kill time and know what you think about this. What do you expect from the new single?, and which is what you would like it to be.

Thing is that the chances of it sounding like Beatiful Day are the least of that list of songs, just because of the simple fact that JBJ. didn't. write. it. Come to terms with it, it's a Gary Barlow song ;-)

From what Jon said, I'll probably go with We Don't Run, but could be something entirely different, who knows?

Hopefully it's a monster, I would not like to listen to a cheesy single as 'Because We Can' or 'What Do You Got'.

I get that sometimes our tastes are contradictory, but how can one call BWC or WDYG cheesy, and yet simultaneously draw parallels between Beautiful Day and KTF?:confused: :p
