It's a surreal photograph developed/created by a photographer called Jerry Uelsmann. So I doubt it's the cover. Though not sure where Shanks got a cloured version of it.

Or they could have commissioned the artwork from Uelsmann to use as the cover. The artist would probably like having his work exposed to more people. It makes sense that house wouldn't be for sale if it has roots. I don't know if it is or isn't. Just saying that the artwork would make sense with the album title.

Certainly not if it has such a serious topsoil runoff problem!

Yah I agree with Becky. It's not so far fetched that the cover isn't something they created from scratch. The artist would have been paid whatever amount deemed fair.

As for re-using song titles of songs they've covered I'm your man and It's My Life are two songs that come to mind.

I care less about covers than most do about Jon's hair... Jon was so fixated on that WAN album cover and it turned out to be useless... He could have CGIed them walking out, instead of being painted, and saved a ton of time and money...

You're right. I just find Drift Away a stretch particularly since they did the "other" one and it seemed to be one of their favorite covers there for a while. And I could even be wrong about that, too, since I wasn't around then. I may have just seen different videos from the same show.

No, it's absolutely a valid point. One I agreed with until I really thought about how many times they've lifted song titles from ones they've covered.

And RD I think Jon cares too much about the cover process to leave it behind, thankfully. It may be a financial wash but when he puts effort into making something look like he imagines it, to me it means he gives a damn and goes the extra effort with a dying medium.

There is something that i actually forgot to check (what i used to check before). The ids of entries in the ASCAP are important. Usually songs from the last 3 or 4 albums had similar ids. 9 digits and starting with 88.
