Now I know who James is, I didn't make the connection Interesting, all of them are mainly known for country songs. I'm guessing they are acquaintances of Billy Falcon since he is based on Nashville? Or has the band talked about them before? |

Are most of those songs country? It's what looks like. Why would Jon collaborate to write "hard rock" songs with country songs writers? Unless.... |

I guess only time will tell! |
Just because Jon is writing with other "country music artists" doesn't mean that the album is going to have a country sound. Now your thinking what about Lost Highway, well that was the sound Jon wanted to go for then, I think Jon working with these country artists was more for the songwriting than country sound, Country music songwriters are known for writing deeply personal songs, sometimes writing from there own experiences in their lives, so maybe Jon wanted to write with songwriters who can help him find a way to get out his feelings on paper, maybe Jon early on struggled with that, who knows, a little help doesn't hurt.

Well but they say this to every album And now we wait. |
A country song writer co-wrote Work for the Working Man. Not a country song. People are being way too close minded with what a country song writer can and can't write. The country sound boils down to the production, something the co-writer will have NOTHING to do with. If involving a country co-writer with the album means well written songs then hell, I'll take 16 tracks of it.
