I am not Negative, I just accept how Jon's voice is. I just don't want a WAN type albums until they retire. If that what Jon intends doing then maybe call it a day, or have a voice operation as fans want something rockier with more guitar let's hope he has listened to the fan reaction to WAN.

I hope Jon realises he needs to help his voice, by resting his voice this upcoming tour, or be responsible until retirement like this.

What I mean is sing 2 times, a week a break, then tour again, repeat.

Let's say he tours England sings London, 1 night, a break and then returns to finish London, a break then returns to Manchester repeat like this to help his voice.

It's pretty obvious that you know very little about touring logistics and proper voice care. The type of tour you are implying is not only not financially possible it's just straight up stupid. On the days off the road crew still gets payed and roadies, managers, etc. And you want to have the band perform once a week? The tour would be a disaster financially. Then there is the voice, proper voice care and vocal rest are important but also practice and proper use. The first show of the tour Jon's voice is always worse that the second and third why do you think that is? Too much vocal rest and he tends to get rusty, just like anyone who doesn't use their instrument enough would.....

OK, why doesn't Jon practice a warm-up before he starts the upcoming tour? To a audience to preview the album before they start touring? A couple of weeks before touring? It will help his voice if he starts singing live/privately to others of THINFS

I am sort of excited! But Jon isn't ever going to produce a TD, SWW, NJ and KTF again due to age and his voice. I am hoping for a BB/Hand/TC type album as that is what he can do now. If he surprises us with his vocals great, but I am not holding my breath. Plus singing live is different to making and recording an album. Could Jon sing Who Would you die for live? No, I love the I want to knows, but he can't hit them live, so why make the songs like this if he can't sing them? Even WDR he struggles with :(

About WWYDF...I think Jon should save this brilliant song for the new album...I can't imagine we are going to hear 12 songs better than this...

All his albums since 2000 have a couple of good songs, the rest mediocre even HAND, I would say 3/4 after Bells of freedom goes down hill, I say it regress.

TC, had 5 or more good songs, but he doesn't sing them as they are too demanding. sad as I liked TC, and BB, but what are the chances of him singing them live? As his voice is shot and going. :(

like I said previous postsfan for life, even if we do get another WAN now and again till he retires! Let's hope they aren't too many of them! ;-)

You people are so anxious for this new song, you can't help yourself but make accusations about it before even hearing it... This is the calm before the storm folks.

I woke up to 19 updates and thought the actual song leaked...

Everything I've read, I've read a million times before. Now everyone is just repeating themselves...

Rdkopper, do you really expect a great rock album? I'm not. Expect BB/HAND/TC I say or worst prepare for WAN's until he retires! The discussion really is about some fans have accepted Jon's worsening vocals, some seem to think he will have a voice operation to sound like 80's/90's. No. Because Jon is happy with who he is now. If you listened to what he said about THISNFS, when asked about it he said he is happy, and the album represents us NOW meaning him vocally not as HE WAS.

Anyway, regardless of what Jon puts out between now and he retires, I will always be interested even WAN have a couple of goods songs, Army of One, I'm with you, Thick of Thieves, Room at the end of the world, TWTWMM, amen, and What's left of me. criticism more guitar and more rockier if he can even BB was better than WAN, but lacked long guitar plays, and more WDR like songs which hopefully he can still pull-off till he retires.

I'm not sure I get the infatuation of Jon being able to sing everything live... The Beatles couldn't do it for different reasons... They couldn't produce the technology live... Anyway...

I guess we are in this YouTube bootlegged generation. When I was growing up during the Slippery and Jersey era, there weren't any computers around to hear what was going on...

The only songs you hear live are the ones played at the concerts you go to and you weren't going to hear everything during those times either...

Bottom line, the albums live on forever, not the tours...
