Can someone explain why the album will only be available months after the single is released? I don't know how the music business works but wouldn't it make sense to have the album available right away to sell more copies?

Are singles still released as CDs? Can we hope for any B-sides?

I absolutely disagree that they're messing this up. People complained when they waited weeks until after Because We Can was released to put out a video. This is the other end of the spectrum, having it ready to go. Get mad at them for following the usual formula, get mad at them from altering the promo to learn from their mistakes. Which is it?

Yeah, I agree. People might bitch about not getting the song straight away, but this time around, there's actually some sense of building excitement, using social media, teasing stuff. It's easily the best the band have ever used the internet to drum up promotion (BJTV was great for its time, but the scope of social media is much bigger now.)

Snippet's sounding good, but the whole patchwork affair of not having a set band is already annoying.

Wait a minute....

Phil X appears to be an oficial member in the pics.
But Mr X only play in 4 songs from the new album.
In the new single he does not play the guitar.
But he is in the video.

That's nothing. When he played with Aldo Nova in the 90's he didn't play a not on the Blood on the Bricks album, yet was featured on the album sleeve as an official member of Aldo's band. Stuff like this happens yet it's such a big deal here, people really need to modify their ways of thought....

It's the old school business model of releasing a single to get promo going, and hopefully the song becomes a hit, and then the album generally a few months later. The model has changed so much and the songs rarely make any impact on radio, I'm surprised they're not just going boom, single, a month later, boom, album. Unless they're planning on doing the promo they didn't really do for WAN it seems a waste of time.

B-sides I dont think we'll get. Bonus tracks for other territories and exclusives for certain places I think so.

Shhh. Your logic will be turned into Jon being a liar and a GIF to accompany it.

...but Aldo Nova is a solo artist, which is different. When launch a band album, it is logical that the band playing.

What would you do in their case though? Bring it a new full time guitar player 30+ years in that has equal say in the band?

He co-wrote all of the songs on the album but one and produced the record. Might have even sang some backup vocals.

Richie's done just that, and look at all the albums he's released ever since!

He's talking about Phil X, not Jon.
