While I think that the overall song is decent, the chorus somehow holds it back. I would've imagined more power there and it somehow falls flat and doens't work for me. This and the cringeworthy line "this house was built on trust".

This is pure Bon Jovi.
Of course it could be different, but I really like it the way it is, since this is the sound I identify the band with and it was with these kind of tunes that I fell in love with the band in the first place.

Wow, i'm really impressed for a change :) I like the riff and the solo, definitely takes me back to hearing HAND in 2005 :).
