Yeah. Honestly a question like that can't be answered because no one really knows the distribution method they're taking. Hell they used to release the single months before the album comes out. I think I remember Everyday premiering at radio in early July with the album October 9th. But now who knows if they'll even bother with a video.

Why is everybody here so sure that the band will resort to unique distribution methods no one's used before? I know Jon recently said in Vancouver that the traditional model wasn't working for him anymore but what could possibly change in the way a new album is released. The ultimate goal - to reach as many fans (and sell as many units) as possible - is always the same.

No one is sure but there aren't a ton of big name acts that have been on a major label for 30+ years, leaving the label and signing to another major. Albums aren't selling like they used to and not going the traditional route means more creative control and more money back in pocket.

They could very easily use a major label for distribution but put out the album themselves. No one is saying they'll use a method never used before, there's only so many ways you can sell a cd.

I have no idea what method they will use to distribute the album. All I can tell you is that, of all the things in my life that cause me anxiety, Bon Jovi's record deal status is not one of them. I'm sure they have a deal/plan in place. Otherwise, they wouldn't already have a date announced and a title announced.

I kinda hate this title. But the content is what counts, hope its good :)

Heard Tico say recently that they were going back in the studio soon. Why would they if record is done?

This has already been discussed in another thread.

There are different stages of done. I don't think done means packaged and ready to to ship. I think in Jon's eyes, done means written and the main tracks laid down. If Tico needs to overlay some drum parts or Phil needs to add a guitar solo, those little tweaks mean nothing to Jon.

I don't buy it. The idea of there being any kind of fervor, enough for Jon to hire security to so no one gets into the studio is laughable on its own. Reviews for pretty much very album since 2000, bar Lost Higwhay, have used the words "Back to their roots" "back to the rock sound" over and over and this just comes across as no substantial info and just pieced together from other news sources over the last year.

Reading that back it makes me sound very negative, I just don't see any truth to this, there's just too many holes.

I think Jon also said that about These Days. One of the initial album titles was "Stripped" because they wanted to put out a rock n roll album in which they were going back to roots. If I will find the interview where he says what I quoted I will post it asap.

The only difference is, this time around we got a taste from Burning Bridges and the assumption is, WDR is the new direction.

Implying that's a good thing...

There're rumours about Chile, Argentina and Brazil for the next tour, according to a Chilean fanclub.

Tico not being done is actually a GOOD thing. He was in the studio with them previously and has to add more parts means he's not being brought in for a few days towards the end of he recording to do all his parts. It sounds like they may be recording as a band again.
