Wtf?! I really hope that this is just a misunderstanding and the album is coming out this spring because I'm really looking forward to see what Jon has written after Richie's departure, his failure with the Buffalo team and his problems with the music label. If my memory serves me right there is a song on ASCAP called Rage Of Angels which sounds very promising to me just by hearing the title of it.

No Way! The album would be dated by then.... It's probably just a default date until they get an official one

If anyone thinks he's going to use the words "buffalo bills" and "sambora" in the lyrics....it's just not going to happen. You can only be so specific about situations. The only way for it to sound dated is if they are chasing musical trends and if We Don't run is anything to go by then that's a serious issue.

Dated to Jon... That was his biggest complaint with the WAN release date and most likely the reason why he started the tour prior to the album...

Jon does not want to perform "new material" of songs that were written almost 2 years prior which would be the case here.

Specific words might not be spoken but Jon knows the meaning behind them are so they would be dated. Regardless, as a fan, you should know that most of Jon's songs start of as fact and then turn into fiction anyway. Happy Now is a rare occasion where Jon admitted what a song was about. Most songs and lyrics and either left up to interpretation or are changed into fiction.

Getting back on subject, there is no way Jon will tour in 2016 with an album being released on the last day of the year. And there is no way Jon will release an official album of songs, of new material, nearly 2 years after they have been written. (not getting confused with them taking 2 years to make an album - This albums been basically finished since August / September)...

You said dated, you didn't say to who.

"Regardless, as a fan, you should know ...." wow. Really no need. Unpuff your chest man.
Happy Now is far from a rare occasion. He's given plenty of interviews about the frame of mind or events that lead to specific songs. These Days is loaded with them, Crush as well.

You're using theories that you made to complete your point. Jon said the album was essentially done back in August and September and then pictures came out of him and John in the studio working on it. Were they mixing? Maybe. Were they cutting some new songs and taking ones off? Maybe. There's a world of difference between those two and it could have caused the delay in release.

I completely agree that Jon won't release an album full of songs he wrote and recorded 2 years go, making it all the more likely there's still more being added to replace the older stuff if the release date changed.

I'm pretty sure the album will be released in March.
First, several websites suddenly mentioned that and then that Swiss website probably accidentally leaked the exact date.

And I think we know three titles already

Rage of Angels
All We Are
Reunion

Ooh I might have missed this, where did we hear about "all we are"?

The song was registered in the ASCAP sometime after Rage of Angels. Written by Jon and James Brett. He co-wrote What Do you Got and Till Ain't We Strangers Anymore. Though we can't be sure the song is written for Bon Jovi album. It doesn't say anything there.

Anything is possible but even if they were mixing / mastering / or laying down a few new tracks, that picture would still be over a year old based on this 12-31-16 release date... Music changes so fast, and even though Bon Jovi might be dated as a band, the goal is to release an album as quickly as one can once it's been completed. It's never a best intention to sit on any album a year after it's been finalized so it's not only dated to Jon... It's dated to me, you, and everyone else.

Even though we know the fate of the album, it doesn't mean that Jon should stop trying to be relevant so by mastering an album and then sitting on it for a year does run the risk of a dated album... So yes, you have the wrong attitude and viewpoint towards it.

Sorry that this link causes confusion here. I've preordered a lot of CDs there and it's a very reliable retailer normally. And they were one of the first sites which listed Burning Bridges with the correct release date...

December 31st is definitely a placeholder. You never could preorder that long before a release.

Maybe they have published the release date too early or the record company (who ever that is) let them know that the date will still change (one or two weeks or so) and is not determined yet...
