Dying for some news. Surely any day now if album comes out March/April. Cant wait to find out what first single is and listen to it.

It's been total silence for quite a while, indeed. I want news asap, too.

They are probably still deciding how to release it since, as far as any of us know, they don't have a record label.

It's holiday season. The band rarely does anything in this time, my guess is we'll start hearing news once the new year starts and even then, late January early February at the earliest. I'd love to be proven wrong and hear something before the year is up but I doubt it.

I wonder if this pic is new album related or possibly something outside of that scope... Maybe a new Christmas song or some other compilation track.

I know a lot of people don't like Christmas music, but I'd love a new Christmas song from Jon or the band--as long as it was a good one. It seems a little late in the season to release a new Christmas song though.

Yeah it's not like work will shut down completely on the new album because it's 15 days until Christmas. I gotta assume it's album related. Any song holiday related would have been dropped long ago.

I doubt it's holiday related too but I wouldn't rule it out based on timing.
It could be a gift to the fans and could drop next week... Holiday songs are timeless... but I agree that it's about the new album...

Haha! It struck me too! The logo is that of A&M Records. Is there a hidden message? Another FU message to the label or a hint to another project or??? Suspense suspense!

Now that I look at that picture a little closer, my instincts are saying that this is a recording outside the scope of the New Album...

Jon's been saying that the album's been done for sometime now and went to Shanks' studio in CA to put the finishing touches on it. One would think that they wouldn't be sitting behind the council together in NYC if they were putting last minute touches on a few songs. They would be working in front of a PC at this stage. I mean anything is possible but I'm really thinking compilation, holiday, charity, etc...

Shanks posted this pic for a reason and it's not to say "hey, we're still working on the new album" It follows that same trend with the Chinese Valentine's Day song and Beautiful Day....

well, Jon said they're cutting this album live in the studio, with the band simulatneous playing (which means they're at least cutting the main basic tracks together - drums, bass, guitar, keys and a guide vocal which will most likely be re-recorded afterwards). This is what I've always hoped they'd one day do. Shame Richie's not on board.

Quite a lot of online music and news sources picking up on the March release date. A press release must have gone out, i'd imagine we'll get some form of single/early promotion towards the end of the month?

I read some "new" articles about this cd. All of them was relased few days ago and all of them was based on interviews with Jon from last year. Nothing new. So I didn't take it seriously... but this articles are now everywhere so maybe it's something official.
I don't think that it's good way of promotion.

Yep. This isn't the band doing anything. It's all nothing we haven't heard before, repackaging old sound bites for clicks. I'm confused where this Homeland info is coming from, that's really the only new point.

Because it's old and not actual news. In Polish article from big radio station was information that Bon Jovi has recorded 8 new songs. It's lie. This information has many months.

Its apparent that the are absolutely not bothered about chart ratings whatsover. Maybe this means there's a glimmer of hope that they're doing something half decent for the fans and more so the loyals.

I read that they recorded the album in the same studio that Jon recorded Runaway and used to sweep the floor as a kid...
