So albums out this month and we've heard precisely feck all. Looks like they're going down the same marketing route as burning bridges. If they do actually release it this month it's a joke which would show how heavily reliant on touring for cash the band has become! I hope I'm dead wrong and there's an announcement tomorrow, but I remember the circle been released and how much easier it was to get info.

Jon said April/May in several interviews/RT gig, only ONE online article (that was later quoted by a thousand others) said March. Follow your leader! ;)

I'd be really surprise if it comes out before the summer. It's being pushed back I think, either that or they are still negotiating the record deal or terms of the release therefore can't give a release date yet. Late May at the earliest, but I would really love to be proven wrong....

We are not really discussing the (zero) possibility of Richie being in any capacity in the new album/tour, right? Not in this planet anyway...
I can't think of any reason anyone would want that. I'm not overtly excited about not having Richie on board because frankly he's the other 50% (not to disminish Dave, Tico and Hugh, but their input is minimal in comparison) and I've always valued his place in the band-it's NOT going to be the same without him, no matter how little involvement he had in WAN or even before. But the fact is that he doesn't want to be in BJ anymore (and Jon wouldn't let him anyway). End of story for now and the foreseeable future. Really. I can't understand why it's so difficult to accept and move on THREE YEARS LATER. Only my daughters seem to have problems grasping the concept of "he's not coming back until they make up". They still ask me like every week why "they are not friends anymore". But they are 4&6 so they get a pass ;) The idea of Richie touring an album the didn't help create in any way is absurd. Would you like it if Richie downgraded from co-writer, co-producer, co-everything to a simple touring guitarist? Wouldn't it be humiliating? Back to the album, what are the chances of NOT having a tour this year? I think it's a commercial suicide and the critics will have a field day... Bruce is solding out HUGE stadiums all over Europe. Bon Jovi would be lucky to fill out a small stadium in ONE country. I don't know in the USA, but here the interest for BJ has dramatically waned over the years. The casuals I know are the typical that go to see any popular/classic band (Bruce, The Stones, U2, Coldplay...) and don't NEED to see Bon Jovi every tour, specially if they have spent a large sum on another band recently. They can't get away with high priced tickets anymore and they don't want to do long tours, so their glory #1 tour days are basically over specially if they try to compete against the big guns. If they start in the last half of the year and continue next year maybe they would have a bigger chance to have some success, don't they? |
^ Wasn't attendance at the BWC tour weaker than previous tours? I remember one European show (Berlin?) was changed to a smaller venue?
I guess my chances of seeing a summer stadium show in Chicago are slim this year. I enjoyed the previous ones. |

It's very sad :(
Bands like Linkin Park have pics, videos and infos about their studio work on their website & Social Media almost dailly. And what about Bon Jovi ?! Wake Up !!! It's 2016 and not 1995 |
Wouldve been good if they brought back BJTV but I guess they wanted to keep everything secret especially if the rumour of security at the door is true
|
Yeah, won't be coming to Berlin this tour, that's for sure :-(
My best guess is that the tour starts in the fall in the US, like the previous ones, and Europe will be summer of 2017. Album should be out May or June, I think. |

But even musicians of Jon's age or even a bit older like Tyler, Sixx, Slash use social media all the time. It sucks with Bon Jovi a bit. The official website and Twitter accounts are crappy |

Yeah, in Europe especially. Most stadium shows were half empty. Jon's steady decline into a lazy front man, the systematic killing off of the band's hard rock credentials and Richie's departure have relegated Bon Jovi into a league or two below the pulling power of U2 or Springsteen. |

Wtf ?? What do you mean the album is not done yet?
I hope that this means that this album is gonna be a kick ass one since they are taking so long to finish it. |

If this is true, and are still working on the new album .. maybe there is hope of a decent record.... the problem, John Shanks in this does not help much.
|
I want this record, of course I do, but I don't see the need for it yet! "Its not ready" good! Let it simmer, make me wait and hopefully it will be awesome!

I'm guessing someone's adding guitar parts.

wishful thinking, but part of me hopes richie comes back and bj release sth killer...
i trully believe jon has the ability to persuade a record company to back him up, so i think they are trying to perfect the record, add some songs improve some others and perhaps they are also checking the competition touring wise and play along... i truly believe jon is a great songwriter and a really capable record producer, whenever he delayed an album or a song the final product always proved him right, that shows clarity, intelligence and experience. hand, crush lost highway and these days(which was redone, especially richies guitars) are examples...on the other i m sure bounce, wan and tlfr could be so much better if jon worked a bit harder on them..because the ideas and the potential is there imo. there is always the danger to overthink an album but in jons case the past shows it is for the best. ps.if richie was working again with jon and there has been some sincere compromise i d be really happy but if they have an almost finished record it would be a mistake for richie to step in late, it would be unfair for all parties...especially since they recorded live ps2.the romantic in jon would call richie if he missed their collaboration and richie would come back despite what he is saying, especially if jon thought some songs need richie.but looks like isnt gonna happen at least this time around... |
