Whether he liked it or not, he played Runaway live, too. So there's that.

Just curious... |

This thread should be called What About Now?
I wonder what the result could be if Phil had some creative input in the new record without deviating too much from the band's sound? |

Is Jackie Blue and Old Joy the same user?

But since that's the second time that you've insinuated as much, I'm curious about why you would think that's the case. So we won't derail the topic, feel free to PM me your response. |

What Do You Got guitars were recorded by Phil X (he confirmed it in youtube interview) And Runaway, These Arms Are Open All Night and some other box-set stuff weren't recorded by Richie and he hasn't any problem to play them. So I don't think it will be any problem. Maybe he won't be comfortable to play "f**ck you Richie goodbye" song but we don't know that Jone did that one for new album :) |

For what's it's worth... speculations re/a BJ Summer tour Quote:
------------------------------------------------------- May I interfere in your conversation? Quote:
 What's the gross annual salary? Is RudeKipper and Butthead the same user? |
It's probably been mentioned already but I think during the Nashville runaway weekend thing all will be revealed;) . I guess Jon might play 1 new song from the new album hopefully too . Maybe an official single week or two after that . Hoping Phil x has some input on the record too !

I do not think the new tour work for me for things like this. |

What do you got was promoting the current single/album at the time. We're talking AFTER the fact. Both those songs were dropped the second they were able to. The solo songs you have a bit of a point, but at the same time they weren't all recorded and released in a time period that Richie wasn't in the band. Big difference between a group of songs Richie at least heard of in advance versus songs from an album Richie came in after the fact. Time will tell I guess. |

Maybe Jon is hoping that impact has the new Guns N Roses tour?
Axl and Slash back with the whole team, if they make a loud noise and are successful, it could be upstaged the new Bon Jovi album, especially after the departure of Richie could have negative connotations his new tour. Perhaps Jon's plan is delay for a while, and see what happens. I think is the reason that Matt warns that there will be no tour. Phil X and Shanks would be justify the delay. Perhaps the album is finished and they only play to deception to believe that still working. The perfect excuse... to know what is the best option. |
Jon really doesn't see the band in the same vein as GnR these days (if indeed he ever did). It would have no impact on the release of the album, maybe tour dates, but they'd likely shift the album a week or two forward or back depending on other releases, but that's pretty standard practice across the board.
|
You can't compare those two bands at all.
Rumpelstiltskin and Slash haven't shared a stage for more than 20 years and had more than one battle via tabloids. Richie's departure from the band wasn't even 3 years ago and there was minimal impact on the media. A couple of days of some headlines and that's it. |

During the press conference in Moscow yesterday Phil X mentioned that he recorded with Jon few days ago in studio. He also said that maybe the Bon Jovi tour would start this fall. A Bon Jovi fan asks the question about the tour at 6:50.

Turn it in Rolo, first Jon is scared of GnR, then U2, he'll be shitting himself over The Cheeky Girls next at this rate. At best it would be prudent to avoid clashing tours, if not for the fact that its diminshing returns from the same type of fan but there's only so many stadiums or arenas available at any one time.
There's no rush and no great conspiracy as to why the album isn't out yet, just that people are pointing to the false March info. It's still on track for sometime this year with a tour to follow. |

Do you think that Richie will also release his album after the summer?
|
Depends what summer you're talking about

Are you implying they are waiting until Richie's album is out in order to compete with him? |
Rolo's antics aside, this is really great news in my opinion. And Captain Jovi's suspicions were proven true! I'm getting pretty excited for House now that Phil is onboard as a recording artist!

My point is that if Richie launches his album at the same time, can coincide on promotion in Tv, Radio and magazines. This makes the album Richie has a better exposure. One word. Feedback. |

Not think that Bon Jovi sales would suffer if both coincide, and it is possible that even with the media attention could attract new fans. By the way, the Reunion song will be on the album? |

In his last interview, Jon said the new BJ album would be released in April/May 2016. In his last interview/press conference in Russia, PhilX said, "but it's rnr, it always changes." Time will tell. As usual. :) |
