Maybe the album is so good they can't stop getting together and listening to it. ;)

He's saying just because Tico is in the studio it doesn't mean Jon was wrong for saying the album is done and gave some examples of what it could be.

Shots of him by paparazzi happen often enough during non-album cycles, I don't know...If this is routed around that t-shirt, it's such a small small selection of people who know about that situation, is it really worth all that work?

I have a brilliant memory and I do remember historically (the past few albums) of Jon taking certain strolls down his NY street looking like a million bucks right before album release dates... Go back to the stalker blog Facebook and look at some dates... Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk |

And for the love of pete, why do you get so aggressive about being the number 1 fan that knows eeeeeeeeeeeeeverything. |

Maybe he bought/took over Mercury records? He's had his own label before. Just a thought, but would bring additional (artistic) freedom and so on... ;-)
|
Mercury records technically doesn't exist in the US, being swallowed up under the Universal umbrella according to Wiki
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercury_Records There is Mercury & Mercury Classics within Virgin/EMI in the UK though. |
Yeah, but it used to exist, didn't it? Or was it just Europe? Maybe they offered Jon his own label under the Universal umbrella, and resurrected the Mercury name for it... (yeah, may sound a little crazy at first, but think about it. Unless Jon's a notorious lyer, they had to offer him something to come back (unless he crawled back to them, but I seriously can't see him doing that))
|
BTW, Bon Jovi are listed on Virgin/EMI under Mecury? Is that the same one (i.e. beloging to Universal Music)?

Mercury went away and later they got put on Island Def Jam with some bunch of rap artists. It's one of many reasons so long passed between TD and Crush. Jon was waiting to see how the new label fit among other things.

It might just be a cool little vintage tee made for Jon being that he is one of the few, if not only, guy let from the Mercury days... Maybe after his Burning Bridges rant, someone from the record company thought it was a cool idea to have a handful of tee shirts made for Jon as a gift and a way to laugh it all off...
Please don't over think any of it.. As someone suggested above, I seriously doubt Jon purchased part of the record company and took the Mercury name... He tried that back in 1990 under Jambco (Jamco) and failed miserably... He helps Cinderella, Skid Row, & Color Me Bad, which all go on to have huge successes then goes at it himself with Billy Falcon & Aldo Nova and they totally tank.. Talk about shit luck... |

And the amount of material they had slowed things down too. The batch Jon brought and the batch Jon wrote with Richie. It's naive to say it was just the solo projects that delayed everything is what I'm saying. |

When you think that will release the first single? I think that will happen next week, maybe June 15th. |

I think maybe when he does his next Runaway Tours, I think, but he would need the whole band.

Some people are so hell bent on having Jon write 100% of everything but imo, the writing it just half the battle... Having the artist deliver the vocal, passion, and, right production is the other half... You can't just give a song to anyone and expect it to be an instant hit... The song and artist has to be one... If the record company handed Jon a song to do in hopes of a hit, that wouldn't bother me in the least, especially if it did become a hit... In a reverse sense, there are so many Jovi songs that I think could have been huge hits if sung by other artists... Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk |
