Official September 20 2015 Padang Stage, Singapore Formula One Grand Prix Thread
News report in a national newspaper in Malaysia, with what seems like a leak from concert organizers, that Bon Jovi will be performing at a concert in Malaysia on Sep 19 followed by a performance at the Singapore F1 Grand Prix on Sep 20!

Oh my days if Bon Jovi come to Singapore for the F1 I'll be lining up as soon as they open the F1 venue on Friday.
What makes me sceptical is that the headliners for the F1 Grand Prix in September have already been announced. Maroon 5 and Pharrell Williams will be hard acts to follow and I think it'd be unlikely that Bon Jovi show up without being at the top of the bill. |
Singapore F1 had 5 headliners last year. If last year's pattern is to be followed, there will be 2 rounds of announcement for entertainment headliners. There are 2 more spots yet to be announced for 2015. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Wow, if this really happens, it's a huge deal.
Playing BWC tour shows without Richie because he bailed was one thing. But if they do this, there's no way back. So I'm keeping my fingers this does NOT happen. |
True, it will be bittersweet. Jon has very recently signed Irving Azoff as new manager for the band. This indicates that Bon Jovi is gearing up for a new big phase. Not slowing down.
But what if the rumored shows in Malaysia and Singapore is with Richie?! |

But as I don't see Aerosmith without Perry or U2 without Edge, I'd rather have Jon continue as a solo artist until Richie gets his shit together. Especially, considering that last time they toured and recorded an album it was Jon who pushed everyone else to do it when others considered it 'too early', just like most of us, in order to get more money for the NFL team. The way I see it, Jon should be more protective of a Bon Jovi brand he worked so hard to build. If Richie overdosed and died (I hope not, obviously), it would be another thing. But continuing without him would put Bon Jovi below U2 and the Stones, which is what Jon aspires to be. |
There's a world of difference between a couple of one-off shows like this and touring again without Richie.

End of September is the end of both the NRL and AFL seasons in Australia (the national rugby and australian rules football leagues). Would be awesome having the band at one of the Grand Finals considering Australia is a hop, skip and a jump away from Malaysia/Singapore. There's been rumours of it in years gone. Of course it would be best if it was the AFL grand final (cos NRL is shit :p)
One can dream... |
Ironic it was Richie who said "Singapore is on the list" for The Circle Tour and the rumours went flying around Singapore's event management companies.
Guess they didn't know anything about Richie |
