This is very odd timing unless new album release is sooner than expected, Jon doesn't often go for 'band' shows out of cycle... Perhaps he's trying to do a Beyonce...

I do hope the locals aren't hoodwinked into joining BSWJBJ based on that email, they'll quickly realise what an utter waste of time that will be!

I think in some way it's a marketing plan to show that despite Richie departure they are still present in the music industry. I also think they want to reach more fans as they can until the they retire ( i don't think or say it's their last tour but...). At this point it dosen't really matter if they have a new album or songs, since they don't come often their the fans will want the olds songs or big hits anyway. Finally They will be their probably for one month so it won't be a hard and long tour.

Haha, what the fans want to hear and what they get are two very different things Dumy, Jon must remain relevant with new music remember.

And by playing in countries for the first or second time in decades (there's talk of their going to China, too), they can justify asking those fans to put out top dollar. But despite surviving the WAN tour, CAN they make lightning strike the same place twice? And speaking of getting jiggy with the UAE:

These are labeled as part of the Because We Can Tour. I'm pretty sure they'll do a small Asia tour (because of the F1 thing and going there anyway) and then go back to the studio to finish up the new album. New tour and album next year.

Is that crazy stage making a come-back? Sofia or whatever it was called? My girlfriend lives in the UAE at the moment and I met her in Kuala Lumpur :D so there's a good chance I'm there for the gig. Talking about coincidence...

I would guess no, considering Bon Jovi has a history of not bringing the full production unless they absolutely have to, for example, certain "smaller" open-air shows during the 2011 and 2013 tours. So since this is not even a BWC tour (it's shown as Bon Jovi Live! in Wikipedia), I would expect a simple big festival-type stage.
