what? only 8 songs? why?

It's disappointing, but kind of a trend, I think. I've heard about several country artists releasing 6-song EPs. I hardly buy anything anymore so I can't give you any more details than that, but I hear them talking about them on the radio.

I don't mean to be a downer here but lets break this down to reality.

Burning Bridges is NOT a 100 Million Fans. It's a "Fan Album" not a "Fan Box Set" so it's 12 (now possible 8 per Matt's Post) mastered songs that were left off albums up to and including this current one. Jon stated that he wrote 25 songs for this new album and I have a feeling that some of this Burning Bridges album will consist of a few of those 25 songs....

We already know half the album's titles.

As much as we all wish songs like "Nothing" and "Walk Like A Man" (jk) will be included, I have a feeling that this album will be nothing but a few current Jovi tunes (2009 being as far back as it goes).

Songs like Reunion don't fit on an album but Jon wants to release them officially, probably so he could add it into his live set lists to bore the shit out of us at every concert. With Richie gone, he's trying to reinvent the band with as much new live music as he can so Phil could have some songs out of Richie's shadow. Okay, that's a little extreme but I still think there is a bigger picture going on here then just a "Fan Album"

Someone tweet Matt and ask him if they could include a live studio version of Cadillac Man as a bonus track on i-tunes for those who purchase Burning Bridges?

We don't actually KNOW Reunion and Beautiful Day are going to be on it. One source said it'd be on the new album and that was before this was announced. I truly think we'll get Reunion on the 2016 one and Beautiful Day on neither. It's safer to assume we know 2 of the 8 titles.

hhmm, A year ago I posted something that the band should release a digital EP (or CDs too) and go on tour to test the waters and continue to adapt their sound. Imagine if Jon read my post and then gathered the band and then set the plan in motion??!!! That would be cool....
