Why do people want songs like Nothing/Walk Like A Man/Beautiful Day on albums when we already have them in more than acceptable quality?

As long as these songs get released in some territory somewhere we'll get our hands on them.

That's exactly the way I see it; I'd much rather have new/completely unreleased stuff than a slightly higher quality version of something we already have.

I totally agree with you Nige (and Brian). With the exception of Cadillac Man, everything else we already have, so I see no point to have these 'wasting space' on another record. The more completely unreleased/uncirculated material the better for all concerned. Fingers crossed the official track-listening is leaked soon! I'm really looking forward to this album as it should be something out of the ordinary! :)

I seriously doubt that we're a gonna get stuff like Cadillac Man. You never know, but I suspect this is gonna be heavy on the recent years.

I'm still rather curious, though. The factor that it buys the band time to polish the next album is a nice bonus, too.

You can get Walk Like A Man and Beautiful Day in lossless quality right now, not the same with Nothing that, as you said, it's only acceptable quality.

I think so too. Anything that was left off the 100M boxset must have been left off for a reason.

Having said that I'd love to hear Sex Sells; it must be a good track if it was going to be an album title!

Burning Bridges is a compilation album to fullfill commitments (quote from Jon from last night). So it doesn't make sense to put new songs on it when the next studio record is just around the corner.
