I've gave the album a couple of listens in full now.

I'd say I'm enjoying it more than I did on first listen. Some of the songs I didn't care for much I'm really enjoying. I think 'We All Fall Down' is good but the production lets it down, in my opinion. Not really one to go on about production much but I find it hard to understand what Jon is saying when it picks up a little bit because noise is happening over the vocals. Apart from that, I quite like the song.

Really liking 'Life Is Beautiful', though. When I first heard it, I thought it was an okay song. Nothing great. It's a really nice song, though. Can't really imagine what album it'd fit on but it's a nice song.

I absolutely hated 'Blind Love' on first listen. Worst song I'd heard by the band in a long time at first listen but when I got the album and gave it another listen, I was surprised at how much better I found it. I still don't think it's great by any means and certainly not the best ballad the band have done, but the lyrics are really nice and the way Jon sings it is something I quite like too.

'Fingerprints' I do enjoy listening too but I still can't see the fuss over it. I think the solo is decent but I honestly don't think that's anything spectacular. Just longer than anything Richie has done in a while which doesn't mean much. It could be song that really grows on me with time, I guess. I enjoy it, though.

Still think it's a good album after a couple of days of listening which isn't what I thought about 'What About Now' all that much. First listen I enjoyed because it was new music but then when I actually listened to that album a few times, I realized just how weak it was.

8/10 is probably my overall score for the album, still. I do really regret listening to the first three songs so much before the album came out, though. I think I'd be very impressed with this album if I hadn't.

Totally agree with these comments. We All Fall Down and Life is Beautiful are songs I keep going back to listen to. And I don't know if a song has ever grown on me as much as Blind Love has already. Really like this song.

Can someone please point me to the thread or page with the songwriting credits? Thanks!

Yes, this. I wish I could resist but I doubt I'll be able to.

It was very wise of Jon to lower our expectations: the songs are brutally outdated, the production values negligible, the whoah-whoah choruses juvenile, the keyboards missing in action, the guitar work, in the immortal words of Dorothy Parker, "runs the gamut from A to B." But I would not be insulted if I were to hear Who Would You Die For again -- with a little polish (especially from Richie), I think it's the only song that shouldn't have ended up on the editing room floor. So this is Jon's idea of a special gift to Bon Jovi fans!

This album makes 'perfect sense'. That is, it's a bunch of leftovers put together simply to comply with the contractual obligations they had with Mercury. A lot of bands do that.

Btw, does anyone knows the era of each of the album's songs ? Some are clearly older than 2009...

The board's reaction to the album has been pretty positive, I don't think it's being looked at as harshly are you are.

Nope, it's all fan theories.
