Even before I knew the background for this song, I loved the passion in his singing. And since I saw the interview ( http://www.canada.com/entertainment/...697/story.html) where Jon explains that Teardrop to the Sea is the serious lyrical song about the record company breaking his heart, I understand it even more.
And yes, still puzzling that the label release Burning Bridges. Maybe like others have stated, the label thinks it's about Richie.

Has it been promoted at all. I knew nothing about it till I happened to check this forum a couple weeks ago. Though with the Vancouver concert fiasco being in the Canadian news, I might have read about it over the weekend.
