Ouch. Some people still stick with the fake tracklist, though the real one is available :-(

What's interesting is, that Drive is also written by the same trio...

I guess they can always say that this is actually the tracklist of the new 2016 album "Rage of Angels"

Walleris 08-19-2015 11:30 AM

Can't believe it's only 2 days 'till the official release date and the album is yet to leak.

I recall this this happened with What About Now as well. I bring it down to either a lack of general public interest or an increase in security measures.

http://repertoire.bmi.com/writer.asp...Affiliation=NA

It's ZouZou Mansour and her band Soraia (which is her first name BTW) from Philadelphia but they often play NJ clubs and bars, with Bobby B. has a guest sometimes or she guests at his Count Basie Th. big concerts. She's produced by Little Steven Van Zandt. The listed co-written songs are for her band, I've heard some of them before. So she's Obie's protégée?!

Julie: How did Jon Bon Jovi hear your music that inspired him to request to write music with you?
Soraia: Our producer Obie O’Brien was playing some of our demos/listening back to how they sounded and Jon was in the room with him. That’s the most I know about it. What Jon heard that made him want to write with me, I suppose you would have to ask him. But, I do know that once we worked together from the first time, it inspired me to aspire lyrically and be more thoughtful about all I was doing song wise (which goes back to the last question). It also made me reach out to Billy Falcon to keep writing. I had a hunger to experience more and more of that collaborative process. I’d collaborated with Travis Smith and Obie O’Brien for years, so it was interesting to sit in a room and finish a song together. It’s always been a much more personal process for me until then. I still love writing on my own, always will, but it was such a great experience to have. So I’m glad he did!

Julie: What songs on the new album did Jon Bon Jovi co-write with you?
Soraia: Jon co-wrote “Good Ain’t Good Enough”, “Runaround”, “Want What I Want”, and “Like a Woman Would” with myself and Obie O’Brien. Jon co-wrote “Hell-Oh” with just myself. He also co-wrote a few more that aren’t on this record, including “Against the Wall”, “What You Say (Ain’t Always What You Mean)”, and “Just Drive”.

Julie: The song “Hell-oh” is sure to be a top hit, is there a story behind it?
Soraia: Yes. I could tell you particulars, but ultimately, it’s a story of true love. It’s about that moment of falling in love in a sheer instant, and breathing it in intensely. But, in this story, the fire of that feeling leaves her burned in the end… haunted by the experience. I think we’ve all had that. Hell-Oh is about the glory and tragedy of love.

Tomorrow would be pointless, considering I'll be 21 in some countries and we'll have the releases. If it leaks, needs to leak today.

'Burning Bridges' review: Bon Jovi burns off one for the fans
August 19, 2015 1:42 PM
By GLENN GAMBOA glenn.gamboa@newsday.com

REVIEW
With the release of "Burning Bridges" (Mercury), Bon Jovi finds itself in a series of odd situations.

After all, this is the first Bon Jovi album without guitarist Richie Sambora, though he does share a writing credit on the first single, "Saturday Night Gave Me Sunday Morning." To lower expectations of what a Sambora-free Bon Jovi album might sound like, singer Jon Bon Jovi is making it clear that this is a "fan album," an album of songs that the band finished for fans to release in time for its international tour.

Bon Jovi is currently writing its new album, due early next year, which will be the first "real" album without Sambora. Well, OK, but it must worry someone that the Sambora co-written track "Saturday Night" is the strongest single and most like the band's heyday.

"We Don't Run," which Jon Bon Jovi wrote with John Shanks as a new song and a sign of the band's new direction, is awkwardly aggressive and uncharacteristically angry.

That's not to say Bon Jovi is in trouble -- the lush ballad "A Teardrop to the Sea" is especially strong. But "Burning Bridges" does sound a bit, well, burned-out.

BON JOVI "Burning Bridges"

THE GRADE B-

BOTTOM LINE Um, shouldn't every album be a "fan" album?

Been saying this since day one.

Captain_jovi 08-19-2015 10:17 PM

It's an album with little to none promotion and pushes to the mainstream markets so really only the fans are going to know about it. I don't see what's so hard to understand about this.

jon-flp 08-19-2015 10:53 PM

Why those people are doing reviews without listen to all songs on it? Because based in the words used, it’s look like this one only listened to the snippets and the songs already released. Don't make any sense to me.

About it being a "fan album"? I agree - All albums are supposed to be "fan albums". Who is supposed to buy it, non-fans?

Well....Yeah! Your're describing how the music business works exactly. Isn't the goal to make new fans and grow the fanbase?

I think that this “fan album”, is referring to the die-hards. Not the casual or people that buy only because one song.

semigoodlookin 08-19-2015 11:01 PM

I am not sure who the reviewer is (a fan or not), but perhaps that review shows the difference between what many causal want (the songs like Saturday Night Gave me Sunday Mornings) and many die-hards, especially here, want. I do not think that is the strongest song on Burning Bridges at all.

But if he (a fan or not) didn’t listened to all songs on this, how can he says that Saturday Night is the strongest in the album? It’s not a matter of personal taste, but a minimum of good sense. You don’t do a review of one thing that you don’t know properly.

Kukoc7 08-19-2015 11:49 PM

I do like to find and post as many media reviews on new releases as possible yet most of time they turn out to be nothing more than wise crack jokes, poking fun at the band and certainly lacking in telling us anything that we don't already know. I did appreciate that this writer pointed out that A Teardrop To the Sea was a stronger track. Most of us agree with this already though.

Jovimimi 08-19-2015 11:52 PM

Isn't a fan album meaning an album made of outtakes, demos and songs that were left over - (yes they are reworked to sound trend today and also to work the Richie abscence ) ... Fans will support everything that was produced by the artist they follow - they take those songs like a treasure, a treat, as the songs were not produced to make money (yet) I think it's not just about no promotion (and actually they are doing quite a promotion but done by the record company not by the artist himself)

steel_horse75 08-19-2015 11:53 PM

Maybe start a review thread with just reviews in?

Thomas123 08-20-2015 12:06 AM

Why cant it just bloody leak. I'm dying to hear the whole thing!

rolo_tomachi 08-20-2015 12:12 AM

From what I read, the journalist, values "Sunday Morning" as a single, which is definitely the strongest for the radio, the other songs are better, but as a single for radio "Sunday Morning" stands out among all.

About "Fan" Album, is because they are rarities, and not be thrown on the radar of the mainstream media to attract new audience.

Anyway, this review is very poor. He could haven't heard the album and he say the same.

Anyone know where I can order the CD in the UK at a decent price? £19+ and unavailable on Amazon, which is where I would usually order from..

I was so sure that it would be leaked early this week. I was wrong lol.....

Ah Rolo, people slate Bon Jovi for doing the "same old, same old" and then slate them if they do something different, lol. Truth is most reviewers don't even listen to a full album and because its bon jovi they can feel safe giving it a generic number of low stars and write "same old stuff from bon jovi" even if it's not.

Bon Jovi never have been a critics band, they never will be.

.....and so the tension mounts. I keep checking the new release forum in order to see if anybody on here has heard the album in it's entirety. Totally amped for this release would be an understatement. Lol

I just called my local Walmart and they said they have the album in the truck and it will be on shelves tomorrow at 9am
