Ugh! It's taking forever to download. Seems it includes the bonus track.
|
Yup, thanks! :)
|
Yep, I got it today.
Guitar: The guitar work is better than expected. There are quite a few solos within the the songs. I am not sure if they actually fit the songs. For instance: Fingerprints sounds pretty cringeworthy too me but the guitar is very prominent, the song ends with an 1-minute-solo. Sounds like Bobby trying to play an epic solo. It is not bad, actually:). I Iike the guitar in 'Who Would You Die For' it adds a bit to Jon's 'screams' Production: I have no issues with it this time. Maybe a few less sound effects here and there but it's alright overall. There is no butchering effect like in 'I'm With You'. Works with the guitar parts and Jon's voice Vocals: It is alright and even has some awesome parts A little bit cheesy at times, but I guess it is part of Jon's tone now. Sounds like Jon in a good way overall. Backing vocals are a bit annoying in 'Who Would You Die For', and make it sound very cheesy imo but Jon screaming 'against' it is actually ****ing awesome and my personal highlight of the album! Jon getting out of his comfort zone it is the best part of every song. Melodies: A bit of a letdown. In 'We All Fall Down' the chorus is awful (again with the backing vocals it sounds cheesy) In general: many of these melodies make the song sound like 'Schlager' (a German word used to describe badly connotated folk-songs --> Fingerprints) Lyrics: Some lines are nice but others are boarderline cheesy. Highlights: 'Who would You Die For' because of Jon's effort of pushing his vocals; SNGMSM (even though it is a rip-off), the guitar in 'Fingerprints', the agressiveness of the vocals and the lyrics and guitar in 'We Don't Run' and Teardrop (love the atmosphere and the guitar, lyrics are alright too, like the melodie with its twist and turns but there is something missimg) Blind Love has grown on me too, it is sad-sweet. Lowlights: Only two songs I like as a whole, quie a few cheesy melodies, the rip-off and the repetitiveness in some songs. Oh and the song 'Burning Bridges' itself is really awful but it was probably meant this way ;-D 3/5 for me! |
27 minutes remaining.
Why do you hate me god? When someone downloads it can they confirm that it work? |
No take back the night :(
|
None of them are working for me. Don't want the full album, only 'Take Back The Night' so if anyone has it, can you DM me please.

Was for the label. No dobuts. Or does Richie vacation a lot there? LOL. I can officialy say that I like al the new leaked songs. If I have to take the whole record and decide what's the weakest song: I'm Your Man. Sounds unfinished, doesn't really match with the other songs. **** FINGERPRINTS IS SO ****ING GREAT. I LOVE IT. |
I like the melody in the chorus of We All Fall Down, but the verses are a bore. Even the pace that Jon is singing in, I just wanna speed it up a bit! The solo is average and the bridge sounds unfinished.
I really like the atmosphere to Who Would You Die For. I even enjoy the solo, and I like the bridge. Jon's vocals in the chorus is the real winner here, and I really like the drum work as well as the outro guitar. Production could be a little better and the ending is a little abrupt. Fingerprints is a little boring, apart from the outro solo. It doesn't really go anywhere. It's a nice chill song, but that's about it. The acoustic guitar work is nice. As I said, the outro solo is the best thing about the song. Life is Beautiful is such a modern-day Disney song (would fit perfect on the sound track to Brother Bear, Lilo & Stitch or Tarzan). I like the "oohh ohhh's". However, it is similar to Fingerprints in that it doesn't really go anywhere. Burning Bridges is fun, and the fact that it's aimed at the record label makes it even better. Overall, the album is nothing spectacular but I do enjoy every song on it. I've only listened to the new songs once so will be interesting to see how a few more listens will change my opinion. We Don't Run is by far the best song on the album and one of the best from the past several albums. I also am still really enjoying Sunday Morning. Teardrop is also a great track and Im enjoying Blind Love more than I thought. I'm Your Man sits in the middle of the pack for me. Considering none of these songs we ever going to see the light of day, Im pretty happy with the release. |
Heard them all and im not including WDR in this as thats new - I can see why all these didn't fit or were deemed not good enough bar Tear Drop and Sat Night.
I doubt they will be getting any new fans with this but maybe losing a few along the way. Lets hope WDR really is the sound of the new album. Fingerprints has a great solo at the end Life is Beautiful must be from The Circle sessions? |
Thanks! Could anyone write the full lyrics for these songs ? I just understand a few words. Thank you

OMG, tight now I'm listening to "Who Would You Die For", this song is incredible! It's not typical BJ, not even typical JBJ, it's... weird :D More in common with Springsteen or Leonard Cohen plus a bit of electronics... great track! At last, this album is something really fresh! :)

Fingerprints have a good extended only at the end. Who Would You Die For is very good too, but I expected a little more. Only need Take Back The Night. |

Fingerprints was the most boring of the snippets. I was not excited to hear this one.
But man….what a incredible job of Shanks! It gaves me goosebumps!! Seriously, I’m completely surprised. What a beautiful song! |

Ditto. :D

So that vocal part that pops up in 3 songs are almost identical. What are your theories on if they're linked? I absolutely think it was intentional.

Edit: Could do it, thanks! Will upload the snippet! |
Aside from WDR and SNGMSM I've ignored the snippets and everything about this album just so I can pop along to my local HMV 2moro and purchase myself some new Jovi by the sounds of it I've got (potentially) some stuff to look forward to

I love Take Back the Night, at least based on that clip. Can definitely hear David on the keyboards. Beat wise sounds a little, I guess techno, but I love it.
|
Just gave it a listen on iTunes (Take Back The Night)
Meh, it's average. Catchy but very poppy. Glad it's not officially on the album as it doesn't sound the best song. |
Now waiting the avicii song with Jon :p
Seriously, great vocals on Take Back The Night. |
really sad, this can't be bon jovi
|
Are the lyrics included on the booklet of the album?

Teardrop To The Sea is my favourite song and I also love Who Would You Die For and I'm Your Man. And Burning Bridges is just brilliant if it really is about the label (I'm pretty sure it is... What's wrong with you, Universal? :D) You know, I was never waiting for another New Jersey or These Days (although New Jersey is their masterpiece in my opinion) and I enjoyed What About Now as well, yes i did and still do and it got me through some really hard time... Maybe it's because I'm "just" 27 and became a fan because of Crush (more specifically because of It's My Life) when I was 13 years old. Maybe it's not the same Rock band they were in the 1980s, but I don't care, actually. Don't we still get some nice music from Jon and the band? At least I think so and I'm looking forward to the next album and what ever will come afterwards! |
