*ah it's in the right forum now* thank you :)

Well, ambiance, music, actors, all excellent, people thinks there's L. Di Caprio, so it's not a good film ... i can't say i know him well, i saw Titanic, i loved it, there are some decades between the two histories, (because of the costums and the irish history it's somewhere a 'bit similar') but i think he's a good actor, Daniel Day Lewis is amazing, as i said it's really really violent sometimes, but as you can imagine with the tittle of the movie. It's long, but you don't notice it.
I saw it in french, but i'll go to Paris to see it again in the original version.

I was going to watch it yesterday evening... but one of my friends already saw it, so we went to Chicago (uh the movie... not the city). Anyway - I might still go to GONY another time. Heard some pretty good stories about it, but also a few ppl who find it way too violent. But I guess I can live with that, as long as it has a good storyline.

Oh Jess - topic is moved to NBJ now... but I think you figured that out already when you're reading this. I just had to notify you and I'm too lazy to send a PM right now... so... now you know where your topic's gone  .

Yes, thank you Sara, i thought you did it, i was ready to pm you,

And you really have to see it, it's a great film !

i loved the film, and day lewis was amazing in it - i'm sure he'll win an oscar for his performance. Di Caprio - i don't like him at all, but he was 'ok' in it...

but it was a great (gigantic) cast, superbly filmed... bloody and "real"...

i don't care if it's not 100% historically accurate because it was a great film, great entertainment...

the U2 song over the credits is excellent too (is it "hands that built america" jess? something like that anyway)...

jess 02-16-2003 11:58 PM

i think so letitrock ...
