Listening to 'Inside Out' is such a nostalgic experience
Which is why I don't think the sparkle is there anymore. No matter how ****ed up Jon's singing is, having Richie there would make everything a whole lot better... Just saying

I think you've touched on the core of the problem: It's Richie PLUS Jon that equals the core of Bon Jovi. Others can supply his guitar parts, but not the chemistry Richie had with Jon -- both onstage and off. That's forcing Jon to work harder to compensate, which is putting a strain on his psyche as well as his voice.

Better together
I believe they're both depressed over this situation with the band and too proud to do anything to fix it; and that's why it seems like Richie's a mess who's spinning his wheels and Jon's just going through the motions, with no voice and no energy. They just don't seem to have the same passion for what they do separately that they have when they work together. It's like Jon's a lung trying to breathe with no air and Richie's a heart trying to beat with no blood.

Of course that Richie would make it better because, lets face it, he's Richie. But Inside Out is awful. Sent from my Galaxy S5 using Tapatalk. |
