If not, they should count their blessings because it's a chance to rest Jon's voice. Here's hoping they can fly out on Wednesday -- and chalk up another win (or is it pin?) for Richie's voodoo doll!

What, do I stutter? It's like talking to brick wall around here, LOL!

why a brick wall ? do you mean they should listen to you ?
they didn't want to act too fast ..it's not the band but the government ( who blocked the citizens to move by stopping works schools transportations etc ) I lived in japan (not Taipei) typhoon can come and go very quickly - they have several of those a year it's basic weather
it seems this one takes its time

they could have left yesterday just after arriving when it was still doable maybe but quick enough they stopped the airports too

Yes -- when someone should be listening to you but isn't, it's "like talking to a brick wall." Which is what I get for using uniquely American expressions on an international message board, LOL!

Exactly -- A quick typhoon was needed, but of all the typhoons in all the world, the band just happens to get a slow one: Maldición Del Ricardo indeed!

As of three hours ago (midnight Tuesday their time), Matt tweeted that they are "all good and safe at the hotel." Here's hoping they can get to the next gig in time.

It's also a matter of who pays the cancellation fee.

They must have known that there was a chance the second gig would also be cancelled. But if THEY cancelled it, THEY would have had to return whatever they were paid up front -- so as long as the airport was open, they HAD to show up! Since the government forced the cancellation, I think they only have to return half.

If this article has been posted, sorry I missed it .... but this almost sounds like a conspiracy theory that the Taiwanese fans are the one's who sent pictures to China, trying to get those shows cancelled so that the band would after 20 years come back to Taiwan. Sounds far fetched but if it's so - some would call the typhoon karma..... (Which I don't believe in btw).

if the government cancel for sure the band don't lose all the money (it's not their call) so their insurances will pay but they did had to show up there

all this is so weird - it's quite bad karma happening to them for a while now ....

during typhoon time the flights are canceled (apparently more than music concerts ) so they seem to be stuck there as long as the flights are not authorized - next gig is still ahead as they were supposed to have their second gig TOMORROW NIGHT (local) it's not like they have to leave now - they can leave on wednesday mid day as probably planned

Also keep in mind that without a record deal, the Bon Jovi budget took a big blow because they are also without an advance payment from the label. Add the lost China gigs, and regardless of insurance, they probably couldn't afford to cancel!

In a related story, Chris Brown (the one who beat up Rihanna) was stopped from leaving the Philippines because he hadn't returned the money he was paid for a Philippines gig he didn't show up for six months earlier. Serves him right if he was forced to reimburse the first promoter with what he was paid by the second one! And in a related related story, the governments of Canada and Australia have not permitted Chris to perform in their countries because he beat up Rihanna!

But, the label wouldn't front tour advance money would they? The record label only advances for the recording of a record not touring. Again, if I'm getting that wrong please correct me. Or are you saying they'd use record label advances to pay for a tour? Maybe some clarification from you would help me lol!
