Dave Grohl/ Kurt Cobain 'trashing' Bon Jovi back in the day?
 

Dave Grohl has usually been very reasonable when talking about other artists. He has also compared the Foos with Bon Jovi on several occasions - with a hint of irony but also respect.

Yet I came across a gif image with 'subtitles' that says the following:

"When Bon Jovi wants to look like us, you know there's something wrong. That just proves he's a desperate untalented piece of shit"

I know, someone might have just made up those words but does anyone know anything more? Usually, there's at least some truth behind these captions. I know Courtney Love was a big JBJ fan in her youth. And I was never aware of Kurt Cobain ever having negative words to say about the band (even though I wouldn't be surprised).

Thoughts?

I'm guessing it was a reference to how all all the hair metal bands started "dressing down" when grunge took over.

P.S. And look at how his esteemed colleague ended up.

Back in the day, when someone said something like that, it would make the rounds like wildfire so I doubt he said it. It's probably just a gif someone made up. I wouldn't take it seriously at all.

Yes exactly. My post gets edited for posting out the obvious whereas statements like that are simply OK to have on the forum.

What sort of rules are these mods? Get your shit together otherwise you'll lose the last 3-4 people who actually have something smart to say on Jovitalk
